“Food here is excellent. Fresh, authentic, delicious. Plenty of vegan options as well as curry and a variety of spice levels. Very clean establishment with steady flow of customers for eat in and take out. I thought the waitress was crabby. Unnecessary. If I am choosing to spend my hard-earned money, at least be a positive presence when waiting on me. We were still eating and she tried to take away our hot sauces. Perhaps she was having a bad day as I've had her before as a waitress and she was great. Despite her attitude, I highly recommend eating here.”

“Renee’s provided exceptional catering service for our wedding! 🩷 They really went above and beyond from the initial meeting, to the tasting, to the wedding. Our coordinator, Brenda, was amazing to work with and incredibly thorough. The food at our wedding was INCREDIBLE and we got so many compliments! They are organized, provide information clearly and timely, and truly go out of their way and above and beyond to ensure their customers are happy. I requested Vanilla Chai cupcakes which were not on their menu and on my goodness, they were INCREDIBLE! I was so happy there were a few leftover from our wedding, I’ve been enjoying them with my afternoon cup of coffee! Thank you, Brenda and Renee’s, for everything! We couldn’t be happier ☺️”

“Made reservations a few weeks out to ensure I was able to get a table for my 40th birthday dinner and my dads 65th dinner. Called and followed up after making the reservation to speak to someone about ordering desserts to celebrate and ensured not a problem. We were promptly sat. We had a party size change it was not an issue. However the rest of the meal was off the rails. We ordered drinks, soda was either flat or not the right flavor and took almost 15 minutes for drinks. Appetizers almost 25 minutes to come Luke warm at best. Manager came to the table after app plates sat on the table for about another 20 minutes to ask how our entrees were. Said don't know we hadn't gotten them yet. Instead of going to check the kitchen about them he kept on his table visits. After almost an hour and twenty minutes I find another manager about our meals. He says he will look into it. The original manager comes to the table to tell my dad that since he ordered medium well it was going to be a few more minutes . We finally get our food and it was stone cold dead and had been sitting in the window so we send it back and he comes back out with a micowavee plate and acts like it's our fault when I tell him it's too late it had been too long at that point. They comped the check. Upon checking with the waitress on our way out I ask if they ever told her we were celebrating my 40th and my dad's 65th she said there was zero communication. MOD both made very poor chances to try to recover. If your using OT and your making your room and notice a table isn't on entrees after 60 minutes let alone 100 you obviously have much bigger issues. Really crappy experience after “one of the best rated in the area” after an hour drive away.”

I decided to change my review to 5stars after i first did 4.
1 because they took the time to respond to my review and secondly they were right and i understand where a small business is coming from, where tobhave a salad on the menu but few people purchasing it wouldn't afford them the opportunity to have a great fresh salad and not lose money.
But service, friendliness, not sure of the name if the waitress but I'd give her 5 stars.”

“My parents enjoyed lobster rolls to celebrate their 71st wedding anniversary today. Loved listening to my Dad talk about his memories of the Stand opening in 1937. His family lived across the street and he said his oldest sister was allowed to take his older brother to get a free ice cream cone they were giving out all day. He was only 5 at the time and had to wait till his Dad got home from work to go get his. He also said he remembers there were service windows all the way around the stand and that day all the windows were busy all day long. Would recommend any and everything they serve. If it wasn’t great, it would never have survived this long.”

“Hands down my favorite restaurant in town! The steak is delicious as well as all the wraps! The appetizers are so good especially the crispy onion tanglers. They are great for dining in as well as take out and the food is always so good and never disappoints. The menu has something for everyone and they are very accommodating of food allergies too. I have a severe peanut and tree nut allergy and they are extremely accommodating! I can’t say enough great things about this amazing restaurant!”

“Best ice cream place in 2 towns. Homemade and they don't skimp you on the portions like deary bros and charge you 10 bucks a cone. Playground for the kiddos and you can get gardening and lawn care products there.”

“I love this little hidden gem of a store in Putnam. It’s quite small so their inventory is not fantastic but they are friendly and do have some items it’s hard to get elsewhere. I’ve found vegan cheese I couldn’t find anywhere locally, and also non-aspartame gum. They have done some special orders for me as well.I have only one negative about Harvest Moon- even during the height of the pandemic Harvest Moon did not enforce or request use of masks. Now for a large store I could I see it being optional when there was no state mandate, but Harvest Moon is extremely small, some might even say cramped.In any event I did not let that stop me I still want to support them and I went anyway.EDIT: based on Linda's feedback, I must have hit the store during one time that mandates had not arrived yet. In any event, all good, love the store.”

“I work at the Pomfret Baker’s Dozen, so I’ve had my fair share of coffee — but my visit to the Chaplin location absolutely blew me away! The coffee was perfect (hands down the best I’ve ever had), and the manager at the window made it with such care. Friendly service, smooth coffee, and the kind of attention to detail that makes you want to come back every day. Great job, Chaplin team! ☕👏”
