“Our friends recently moved into this area, and this is our second time here and will not be our last. We are here and it was delicious. The smash burger is oh so messy, but oh so worth it. My chicken sandwich was grilled to perfection, and it was a generous sandwich, enough to share. They have award winning wings, and I can see why, they are very unique and delicious. You should really give them a go, especially the PB & J coating. Staff are super nice, and we had to leave just as an awesome two piece band started up, and they sounded great. Can’t wait to see it in the summer.“

“Pretty good bar for cocktails in Newtown center. The cocktails were creative- I got the non regurts which had a yogurt base. While the cocktail was very good, it still had a very strong mezcal taste. I'm not a huge mezcal fan and wouldn't have gotten this but the waitress promised that the other ingredients in the drink would mask the smokey taste, it did not. I then went back to my go to cocktail and ordered a dirty martini. The waitress explained that they took their house marinated olives and muddled it in so you get an extra dirty martini and she was right on this one, I enjoyed very much. Overall, a very nice place to drink on a Saturday night especially because they have live music after 8p!“

“Had a lovely time at Dragonfly on Thursday night. Food was hot when served, dinner was definitely worth the price. The vibe was very intimate and romantic with ambiance / twinkle lighting. Our server Ryan was very helpful being it was our first time here. We came just for the Periogies and they are a must try! Will also recommend the pistachio martini if you have a sweet tooth for desert. Will be coming back !“

“I’m trying to put into words how absolutely incredible brunch at @jlawrencect was. If I had to rate from 0 - 10, I’d give it a 10 without any hesitation. @jlawrencect just recently opened so their space is brand new and beautifully decorated! The drinks were perfectly made, the food was delicious (seriously the tastiest brunch food I’ve had yet!) and the staff made our experience and time there wonderful! My top picks Drink - J. “Thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers. The wait staff while extemely solicitous did not listen to our specific request NOT to bring the entree until we were done with appetizers. Old freinds reuniteing were trying tohave a leisurly dinner together. The entree arrived along with the appetizers and then when returned as being too early was clearly placed under a heat lamp to keep warm. The entree was then presented 15 minutes later ( whenb appetizers were completed) and was luke warm and not as it should have been had it been freshly prepared and timely presented. A very unfortuante endng for what started out as a delicious meal.“

“Decided to check out this outstanding restaurant at the suggestion of a friend. You enter and admire the exciting decor of the establishment and treated very warmly by the attentive staff. I noticed the bartender making an unusual looking drink, and asked our server about it, needless to say I ordered the margarita with mango drink. We ordered guacamole, which was one of the best prepared we've had in a long time. I ordered the chicken with mushroom sauce, which came with a side of mashed potatoes - simply delicious! “Love this Bbq place, definitely the best in the area, maybe even the whole state. The ribs are cooked perfectly, I can eat a whole rack, they are cooked perfectly. The brisket is amazing. “Pizza crusts are phenomenal. Slightly blackened, soft, yet cooked through. Toppings are inventive and great tasting. But they're only getting 4 stars.Why? The service is slow, and poorly managed. We waited too long for our pies to arrive. Initially we were given the wrong pie and then waited another 10 minutes for the correct pies to arrive. We also noticed another table of two patrons had only one pie arrive and then they had to another 10 minutes for their second pie. Our waiter seemed to want to talk cocktails and work the bar rather than return to our table. We had to ask another waiter for the check... and then take our payment.Bad night? I'm not so sure. On a prior visit for take-out, my phoned-in order still wasn't ready after the 45 minutes that was suggested.... And it took another 15 minutes for my pies to be cooked. They seem to have a real issue with scheduling and timing - which is difficult to understand - they have a pizza oven and they're making pizza, they're not stabilizing the Leaning Tower of Pisa.I'm torn. Pies are great, but the waiting, er, grates.“

Table of 7, busy night, food came out just right and with every accommodation perfectly met. “Awesome food and great craft beer list. Very knowledgeable staff about craft beers and wine. Great food and and a great value. Very cute, friendly waitreses. Truly great beer selection, not just the usual 5 different hazy NE IPA most places put up as their craft beer. There was 1 Belgian, 2 Germans, a bourbon barrel aged beer, as well as few Excellent Local beers. Do yourself a flavor, go for the beer and stay for the delicious food.Highly recommended!“

“Great restaurant situated right off Ethan Allen Highway. I ordered pickup with my family from there. Most of the food traveled very well and the portions were very large. I think the only thing that didn't really keep was the fried calamari.From what I recall my pickup experience wasn't the most stellar. It happened to be very busy when I came in so I was stood there for about 5 - 10 minutes waiting to pickup the food. However, I do not blame anyone in the restaurant for this happening, I had a pleasant experience overall despite the small wait.Parking: Parking lot is there but it is very tight for larger vehicles and while it is crowded. The lot is fairly small but still has room to park vehicles in two "rows" with space in between to drive. Please note: the way to get in is one way only. The way to get out is around the back and off a side street.“

“The Barnwood is our go to for occasions as well just to eat out. The wait staff are very good . Our orders always arrive promptly, and as ordered. In addition to a well rounded menu there always are wonderful specials. We have never had a meal that we didn't like. The chef is inventive and steps outside of the ordinary with fish and meat selections. The only negative is that the acoustics are dreadful making it noisy when the restaurant fills up.Also the tables for two are small.“

“This was my 1st time eating in. The service was wonderful. Melody was beyond pleasant, attentive & accommodating. I ordered chicken & waffles which was great. We ordered the homemade gelato - strawberry & vanilla - but it tasted like ice cream vs gelato (not creamy & smooth) but still was fine. I will say though, even for brunch, it's so loud. The acoustics aren't the best in this space. I prefer to not have to raise my voice or lean across the table to interact w/my party. Also, they only had milk or cream for their cappuccino. It would be great to have @ least 1 alternative milk option (I love oat but anything-soy, almond,...). I would definitely return though as overall it was a pleasant experience.“
