Great memories from growing up in Shelton - the meatball grinder is still made from giant homemade meatballs (sliced), marinara and scamutz... Delicious! The eggplant parm and sausage/pepper are also classics!!!
July 2026. I am basing my review of 4.2 (out of 5) on my recollection of Shelton Pizza Palace between 1979-1988. For context, I was between 6 and 16 years old then. Best menu item: MEATBALL GRINDER. 💯
Times change, owners, chefs and employees do also, but The Palace is still where it's always been. So, good on you Shelton Pizza. From one Sheltonite to a beloved longtime landmark. Glad you're still alive and kicking too.

Shelton Pizza Palace offers a variety of delicious pizzas, specializing in Greek-style pan pizza. Many consider it the best pizza in Connecticut, making it a great spot for a family meal. While the meatball parm grinder was noted as not as good as expected, the pizza crust is praised as amazing and the sauce delicious. The chef salad, however, seemed overpriced for its size. The place is known for its quick service, with freshly cooked pizzas ready in just 10 minutes. Although the interior may be a bit run-down, it is highly recommended for a quick and tasty meal, especially if someone is in Shelton, CT. Customers have enjoyed their experiences since 1975, often finding free street parking nearby.
