I long for the days when the food court was packed with options, and I’m happy to see this place is one of the great food stands that are still going strong at the State House. They serve very fresh salads at generous proportions and have good sandwiches as well. The only critique I’d have is that their lettuce/kale, roasted chicken, and other ingredients are in large chunks and they don’t provide a knife to cut it in smaller pieces. Their flavors are great, but it would be great to have a grilled chicken option in addition to the roasted.“

The coconut soup was a surprise winner with fresh veggies, white meat chicken, a little bit of heat and lime citrus in a fantastic coconut milk broth. The place is small and clean with the friendliest and attentive staff. Lunch specials were a great deal with the soup included. Kudos to the hidden gem of its easy parking!“

Once in the dining room, our server was kind, helpful and happy…and very accommodating when a substitution was requested on an order at our table. The manager even helped serve our plates and made sure we were all enjoying our experience. Noting that the staff worked well together and were all happy…it implies that working there must be positive for them as well. The restaurant itself was also very clean and comfortable. In the past, I could not have shared these same words and had nearly given up on this local, convenient spot. So it pleases me very much to see the new management has turned it around. The inviting atmosphere and excellent service make this dining experience a plus for business travelers. The menu is a little pricey but not out of line for 4-star hotels.

The owner has been in the business for decades and truly cares deeply about thir customers experiences and is very friendly. This restaurant includes a family effort, they provide a clean and positive family experience and local business love their food as well. They also offer tours of the castle....they end at 4. The grounds and paths were lovely. I reccomend s revisit. They still have some charcoal grills that you can use to picnic!
