I am a Polish American and we try and keep some Polish traditions alive, like Wigilia. We also love fresh kielbasa and perogies year-round. Being originally from Yonkers, NY I grew up used to REAL Polish food from a REAL Polish Deli. And if you’ve only gotten your kielbasa and perogies from Stop and Shop, then you’ve never had REAL Polish perogies and kielbasa. Get them from here and you’ll know what I mean.

I do not speak polish. And I have tried may of the other Polish deli’s around. I always enter with a “dzień dobry” which is good afternoon in Polish, and 85% of my Polish vocabulary. For reasons I can not understand, once all these other delis learn you don’t speak Polish you immediately become a second class citizen, and there is no hope of getting any help or explanations on all the wonderful variety of foods available. But not at Warsaw Deli. The new owner, Jan, was incredibly helpful. He even took the time to explain a few traditions I wasn’t aware of.

“Great little store with everything you need. Fantastic assortment of spices, preserves, picked veggies, candy and so much more. They have daily fresh hot foods and cold salads. Anytime I buy olivye salad it’s always fresh! Delicious and you don’t have to spend all this time to cut it yourself at home. They have great variety of kielbasas and other cold deli meats. Anytime I ask for recommendation or buyers feedback they always recommend good stuff. My favorite store!“

“My beau, Tom, and I have been ordering from Rinaldi’s Deli of Stamford since working at home. What a Godsend Rinaldi’s is! Tom’s sandwich is fresh and tasty; my salads are fresh and tasty. Carol who takes the order is pleasant and efficient. The delivery person delivers the food literally with a smile. Cannot say enough good things about these people and their business. Five stars!“

In terms of price I’m not sure why people are complaining, everywhere is dealing with inflation. Prices will never be what they were 5 years ago. “I love this place it’s awesome. It’s not that expensive and it has a lot of options. Chicken tender and fries never fail.

Parking: Only thing is, it’s kind of hidden in a building. You have to take a right as soon as you walk in. So no parking , street parking if you find some. I like to walk there instead.“

“I have always driven up Hope Street and gone past this deli. Well, this week I finally stopped in. I ordered a chicken cutlet (My go-to deli sandwich) on a wedge with cheese, tomatoes and ketchup and mayo. First things first: they made a QUALITY QUALITY sandwich. The cutlet has a nice crisp to it, and was not dry but juicy. The breading was not overwhelming but just right. The cheese, bacon , tomato all meshed well. Nothing was too loose or too messy. Second the customer service was great. A great atmosphere to walk into. Its always nice when you are greeted by a smile, conversation and to see that person behind the counter is actually enjoying themselves.I went back again to try out their meatball parm. On. The. Money. The meatballs are fresh and REAL. I am simple so I did not doctor this particular sandwich up much, but it was good for me and can be for you too.I recommend Ron's Deli if you want a great sandwich, great service, great prices. “I saw this deli on an episode of Diners, drive-ins and dives. Wasn't far from me, so I decided to give it a try. Awesome service, great food! Plus if you walk around to the back of the building there is an inlet from long island sound. Beautiful area to walk.“

“Chris is da man and hooks up some bomb sandwiches. This is a main north Stamford stop along since I had some issues at LaRoccos on long ridge. The staff is polite but when some leaves the door open it can get to hot or cold so of course they need to say something we were not raised in a barn door. If I drop off my guys and I need a quick snacky snack i gotta stop here for some grub and chit chat. Love this place and support the local community business everyone“

“No bathroom. Only one person making sandwiches one at a time on Saturday at 1:30pm. Call in if you can otherwise you will be waiting a bit. Not sure if the name is L&G or N&P like it says on the exterior. I think they forgot the lettuce on my turkey club. Lots of Italian candies and imports.“
