“Large order placed at 1:15 on Sunday afternoon,was told 35 minutes,ok. Got there at 2, order wasn't ready until 2:45. Warm food was done first,hot dogs cooked in the microwave, cold food done last. Also she took an order, while I was standing there whating for mine,and completed that order... wtf. On top of this cluster f_&k she had no clue how to use a cash register. “My experience with Emily’s catering was wonderful from start to finish. The tasting was wonderful and they were very collaborative, they adjusted their typical summer menu to include short rib at our request. Additionally they were courteous to our large number of sober guests and served sparkling cider for the toast, they thoughtfully left us a bottle to take home with our cake! All of our wedding guests raved about the food after and were very impressed with the quality. At many weddings guests wait around hungry for dinner after cocktail hour but Emily’s Catering’s expert serving timing eliminated that issue. Overall the team was communicative, accommodating, and delivered an excellent product. I would 100% recommend them for any event!“

“Aqua Turf is one of those venues that's popular for a reason. It's spacious, well maintained, and can accommodate everything from weddings to large parties and corporate events without feeling cramped.

The layout is functional, parking is easy, and there is plenty of room for vendors to set up and guests to move around comfortably. The large windows bring in a lot of natural light during the day, and the staff always seem accustomed to handling events of all sizes.

It may not have the unique character of some of Connecticut's smaller estate venues, but if you're looking for a venue that can handle a large guest list and keep things running smoothly, Aqua Turf does exactly that.“

“La Bella Vista is a spectacular venue we’ve had the good fortune of working at as full-time wedding photographers for several years now. More often than not we are there in the fall with the foliage surrounding us. La Bella Vista is a great location if you are looking for something intimate, elegant, yet comfortable and approachable. On site ceremonies are gorgeous outdoors, and moving to the reception space is wonderful because there is SO much space inside for the entrances and dance floor. One of the highlight’s of everyone’s evening is usually hors d'oeuvres and dessert with both offering countless fantastic options in a beautiful space. One of our favorite aspects of visiting is always the attentive staff and superb coordination. There is always someone looking out for the couple, checking on the progress of the setup, and keeping everything on time. They always look out for us as vendors as well, making sure we get our meals, ensuring we’re ready to go for the next event, and helping with all the little touches when it’s go time for photographing the couple, bridal parties, family and friends. We always recommend La Bella Vista when couples ask for feedback. They worked with me to design a menu, they made adjustments based on our preferences, and they were communicative throughout the party planning process. They arrived early, are so friendly, and expertly set up their trailer in our driveway for the party. Their food was phenomenal; everyone raved. We will absolutely be using them again! “We had an absolutely incredible experience working with Carmela Marie. We set up a tasting to try the foods we were envisioning for our wedding, and everything was amazing from the very beginning. At the tasting, the food exceeded our expectations and gave us so much confidence going into the big day.

Janalynne was extremely thorough, helpful, and clearly very experienced. Leading up to the wedding, she asked all the right questions and made the entire planning process easy and organized. She was so easy to work with, as was the chef, and the entire staff was kind, professional, and attentive.

I also had dietary restrictions (dairy-free, gluten free, nut free), and they were very accommodating and made sure I had delicious options without ever feeling limited or left out.

On the wedding day, the food was absolutely delicious. We had numerous guests come up to us saying it was some of the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The cocktail hour food was a huge hit, especially the cocktail meatballs—everyone raved about them.

From a bride’s perspective, everything felt completely seamless. The team worked quickly and efficiently behind the scenes, keeping everything clean and running smoothly without us ever having to think about it. We are so grateful for how easy and perfect they made the experience! Definitely use them!!!“

“Delicious jerk chicken and brisket! The chicken in particular was cooked beautifully and had great heat and flavor. We got the combo platter at the Continuum event yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't get a chance to come over myself to say hello since I was inside, but I'm glad my husband and I got to enjoy the BBQ for lunch. See you guys again!“

“LBs sweet treats offers a variety of specialty cupcakes and I asked for egg free and she was able to oblige. the cupcakes were delicious and she made them just as her and I discussed. “The store owner is great he is always kind and always smiling. When I have any questions it seems his staff is sufficient in knowing what the best options are. They sell cigarettes which is convenient and have a really good stock of high end beers and different wines. Lottery and some juices are located next to the register. I will keep coming back to this store and to his other store as well on Jerome Ave. Good prices at both.“
