“Yes it is a gorgeous venue and a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos, but it's much more! It is community and caring. When there was a major catastrophe at an unscrupulous venue, the staff at Aqua Turf not only came through and allowed us to book ( 9 days out!!!) they tended to every detail. The bride was not only relieved of the stress but overjoyed by their generosity! This was a small wedding(smaller than they typically host) but they understood our crazy situation and came through on EVERY level. Definitely book your wedding or other event here. Best people ever!!“

“We worked with Karen and her amazing team including her talented head chef Tess for our wedding in Summer 2024, and I literally could not recommend them more highly. We had a complex multi-cultural wedding and we wanted to do something special for our food, so floated the idea of Korean-style rice bowls with delicious mains and tons of vegetables and sauces to Karen. To our delight, she was super energized by the idea and SKBT did everything they possibly could to ensure that our food was absolutely phenomenal and unique, down to the tiniest of details. They also made their own vegan kimchi, which my Korean family complimented highly. Over and over again we heard from our guests how the food was the best they’ve had at a wedding, and one dear friend said, “this isn’t wedding food, this is HUMAN food” which is exactly what we wanted. Karen and SKBT are competent, creative, detail-oriented, and heartful professionals and we were so excited to work with them to give our loved ones the best meal we could with our budget. “I first saw Moon Rocks Gourmet Cookies at a craft show at the High Plains Community Center. I tried a sampler of six (out of the eight available) flavors: • Traditional chocolate chip • Salted caramel • S'mores • Cannoli • Blueberry lemon • Orange creamsicle The other flavors were oatmeal raisin walnut and peanut butter chocolate chip. The six flavors I had were absolutely amazing. The cookies were light and flavorful, absolutely delicious. They make gift baskets too, so you can share the goodness. Highly recommended.“

“The food was great BUT.... when the man arrived with the food it was expected that my party guests and I unload the truck AND set up the catering trays! When booking the event no one informed that I would to need to provide my own help to get the food set up - I hired a caterer so I didn’t have to do that. It was quite disappointing to realize a bunch of my guests were lugging heavy catering dishes from the truck and trying to find a tool to open and light the sternos! Had I know I would have hired someone to be there to do it instead of making my guests do it. Once the food was set up it was good. The veggie chili was delicious and everyone raved about the BBQ ribs and chicken. I would forego the green beans and lemonade/ice tea. Those things just weren’t worth it. Overall I would recommend them with a caveat that you must know that for the price you’re not guaranteed a full catering setup. Disappointed.“
