“Kazu is the place to go for Sushi and Japanese cuisine in the Norwalk area. The fish is high quality and the staff and sushi chefs are top notch. The staff is super friendly and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Don't overlook the bar either! They went the extra mile to not just make good food, but good food that looked beautiful as well. I built my own bowl this time, but might try one of the presets next time! The restaurant itself is very comfortable and community oriented. Bond supports the NHS marching bears- one of the best in the country. We will be back next week for a family birthday event!“

“Our family has been a patron of Gogi Korean Steakhouse (formerly Wafu) since inception in 2019. We have dined there at least 25 times in the period 2019-2023. (Wafu/Westport opened in 2019 and was owned by the 4 founders of "Tuck Gin" + Simon & Elaine Chen of Westport. The quality of food went down during Covid. In 2022, Wafu/Westport closed temporarily. The restaurant was re-opened later in 2022, this time with Simon & Elaine Chen as owners and managers. Oh, what a difference the change in ownership brought about!) GOGI LOREAN STEAKHOUSE IS SIMPLY WONDERFUL! Simon & Elaine refined the menu, keeping what were originally the best selections and making them even better. Our family favorites (which we order almost every visit, while trying other dishes for comparison) include: * Seafood Pancake (crispy to perfection and stuffed with a variety of seafoods) * Bulgogi (entree sauteed to tender perfection at the table - ask for marinated) * Pork Belly (a close second favorite entree, prepared same as the Bulgogi) Simon personally visits and/or serves each table, making sure everything meets the customers' expectations. “Kotobuki is an authentic Japanese restaurant with excellent food and service. The head chef is the owner -- Masanori Sato, who goes informally by the moniker "Masa." Masa is always busy, behind the such bar, creating his excellent delicacies. My favorite is the sushi and sushi rolls -- always fresh and delicious. In addition to the traditional rolls, there are some wonderful in-house creations such as the Spicy Betty Roll, Lobster Roll (my wife's favorite), and my favorite, the Kevin Roll. The latter, in deference to the national color of Ireland, is spicy tuna wrapped in slices of tuna, fried, and covered with avocado (green, of course). The setting is not overdone, to say the least, but is very basic -- a variety of wooden tables surrounded by walls enhanced with various pieces of art appropriate to the cuisine and culture. The tables are separated by cloth partitions highlighting Japanese scenery. The table service is excellent, the staff is very accommodating, and shout-outs are certainly appropriate for Mr. Sato's wife (head waitress) and Jenny (one of the welcoming waitresses). Moreover, the dining room is very quiet, conducive to conversing with cohorts without the need to raise one's voice. It should be mentioned that Kotobuki remained open during the pandemic, serving both take-out meals AND in-house specialties.“

Henry seems to get a lot of reviews complaining about his service, calling him aggressive or rude. This is simply not the case- it is a difference in culture and dialect that is misinterpreted. Henry know every regular he has and treats them like friends! If you expect someone to wait on you hand and foot... this is not the spot. If you want high quality, well priced, sushi then Little Tokyo is the place to go.“

“The food is wonderful , the atmosphere is great and cozy ! BUT the service sucks! We were there 10 minutes and I had to go to the bar just to get a couple of glasses of water . Otherwise once they saw that we finally got service and the rest of the meal was good. And no it wasn’t packed only 3 other tables with people when we were there .“

“Amazing experience. Great service, loved the decor and atmosphere was comfortable. The sticky ribs were one of the best things I ever put into my mouth, along with the crunchy rice waygu they have on the menu. Miso soup, truffled eggs, and the HUGE bento box were on point. The desserts were phenomenal, don’t sleep on those matcha Kit Kats! I despite matcha and you can’t taste any of the match (which was a plus for me, maybe not for others). I can't pick just one favorite dish because everything is consistently delicious, but I particularly love their Japanese bento boxes, sushi bar offerings, chow fun, and shredded duck. “Omggg!! This place's poke bowls are soo delicous. I love LOVE sushi.. but I'm not a fan of sashimi, so I've always thought I would not like poke bowls... but I was so wrong! I got a poke bowl with 1/2 white rice and 1/2 brown rice- spicy salmon and tuna and everything else that looked tasty to me. Yum, yum!! So fresh, tasty, and delicious. I really enjoyed. The staff was friendly and attentive. Their lil dining room was very clean. I also got their coconut milk pudding with mango for dessert- yum!! If you like this kind of food and you haven't tried this place out yet- you're truly missing out! What are you waiting for?! Go and try it n see for yourself!“
