“I recently tried the chicken parm grinder at Mad River Creamery & Deli, and it was a really solid choice. The chicken cutlet was nicely breaded, tender, and held up well under the sauce. The marinara was flavorful — tangy with a hint of sweetness — and there was a generous amount of melted cheese that pulled everything together. The bread was fresh and hearty with a nice toasted soft crunch to it , the kind of roll that didn’t get soggy after a few bites, which made the sandwich feel substantial but balanced. I liked that there was a good ratio of chicken to sauce to bread. Service was friendly and efficient, owner welcomed us and provided free ice cream samples as we waited for our grinders ( husband got the steak and cheese for his 3rd time ) being a deli, the portion felt more like a meal than a quick snack. The atmosphere at Mad River Creamery & Deli is welcoming — cozy and laid-back, perfect for grabbing a bit with a friend (or after getting some ice cream). Already know what I want when I return . “Call first to see if they are open, twice this week I have driven by before the closing time currently listed on both their website and google and they were closed up for the night. If you do stop by and they are open they have the best ice cream in Southington.“

“Delicious ice cream, so many good flavors to choose from! Raspberry cheesecake with gummy bears is my go to (the best gummy bears!!). The cutest animals to visit, and plenty of seating. We sat by the fire pits, then played corn hole after we finished our ice cream. Love it here!“

“What an amazing experience!! The cascading waterfalls, scenic walkways, and covered bridges shaded by gorgeous Japanese Maple trees is such a zen mini golf experience. They have something for the whole family including a wooden train and wooden ship play area. There is a beer garden if you want to stop for a cold brew, food, and Italian Ice and ice cream. We had such a great day!“

“I never write reviews, but I had to for this place 😍 I came in Saturday afternoon for some ice cream with my family, and it was the best! A sweet and funny blonde young lady helped us and recommended the toasted almond and it was amazing. We’re from mass visiting family, but definitely will come back next time we are around!“
