“I really like Sweet Frogs. I'm giving it a 4/5 stars since there were so many different flavors and different toppings. Flavors included the traditional ones; chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, along with other unconventnial ones (that were pretty tasty!); like Cotton Candy, Kool-Aid, and Eggnog. All of the flavors are very tasty. The toppings are also really good and there are so many to choose from like the Sour Strips, the Cherries (which seem to be fresh!), and even Strawberry Popping Boba (I believe that is kind of what it is called). The service is pretty good, all the employees are respectful to the customers and nice! The reason I'm giving four stars instead of 5 is since it's really pricey and expensive. “Best ice cream around town! We moved to the area last year and discovered this spot while driving one day. We visited once and never stopped coming back. My family and I get our sweet treats from here at least once a week. We love it so much we wish they were open all year round ☺️ but nonetheless we look forward to coming here during the summer months. If you do decide to stop by, try their seasonal apple crumb caramel ice cream. It tastes just like an apple cider donut. You won’t be disappointed.“

“THE place to go for ice cream in the Southington area. The ice cream is absolutely delicious, and there's a pretty good variety from which to choose. Pat's has both soft-serve and regular ice cream, with lots of toppings to add, if that's your thing. Excellent service - Pat is usually there, and he's a lot of fun.

“A nice visit opening day followed by ice cream. The grounds were kept pretty well and even with it being pretty busy things moved well. An average sized lot with a single course of 18 holes. The holes were all fairly simple in design. But less frustration from my son thanks to that. We had a great time. A nice family owned spot.“

“I recently tried the chicken parm grinder at Mad River Creamery & Deli, and it was a really solid choice. The chicken cutlet was nicely breaded, tender, and held up well under the sauce. The marinara was flavorful — tangy with a hint of sweetness — and there was a generous amount of melted cheese that pulled everything together. The bread was fresh and hearty with a nice toasted soft crunch to it , the kind of roll that didn’t get soggy after a few bites, which made the sandwich feel substantial but balanced. I liked that there was a good ratio of chicken to sauce to bread. Service was friendly and efficient, owner welcomed us and provided free ice cream samples as we waited for our grinders ( husband got the steak and cheese for his 3rd time ) being a deli, the portion felt more like a meal than a quick snack. The atmosphere at Mad River Creamery & Deli is welcoming — cozy and laid-back, perfect for grabbing a bit with a friend (or after getting some ice cream). Already know what I want when I return . I had seen this bakery on Facebook and live 5 mins away so it seemed a perfect opportunity to try. I purchased a chocolate zuchinni cake for the little girl and while there I grabbed an Oreo tres leche cake for myself. LET ME TELL YOUUUUUUU!!! That Oreo cake was OUT OF THIS WORLD! “Despite the fact that my area has Friendly's Ice Cream, Foster's Ice Cream and Dairy Queen (all wonderful brands), we seem to gravitate to Carvel. The store smells remarkable (no fried food smell), the sheer simplicity of the menu (ice cream, ice cream and more ice cream) and they have the best soft-serve. Plus 2 for 1 sundaes on Wednesdays makes it a irresistible destination.“

“Amazing!!! Had the best grinders that I have ever had in CT. We recently went on a field trip with CREC and they gave us grinder options from Harvey's. The sandwiches were unique and delicious. By the lack of talking on the bus, it sounded to me that everyone enjoyed their grinder.“

“Overall, Ben & Jerry’s is a great spot to stop by for a scoop of ice cream! it’s been a staple of W. Hartford Center for many years now, and I’m grateful that it’s maintained such a long-term presence. The staff are always friendly, kind, and very efficient! The price is a little steep, but so is everything in West Hartford these days.

Overall, there’s a good selection of ice cream! I consume only dairy free ice cream, and usually they will have at least 2 to 3 flavors. The selection of dairy ice cream flavors is more expansive, and they truly have something for everyone in terms of taste. Their shakes and smoothies also looked delicious as well!

Unfortunately, the line is usually extremely long in the summer. The last time I was there, in late June, the line stretched all the way out the door. There were only two employees working, and they seemed quite young. They were doing a wonderful job, but it looked like a lot to juggle. In the warmer months, it may be helpful to staff more people due to the sheer volume.

I wanted to mention something that occurred at my last visit that concerned me. The line was extremely long. The couple in front of us had two medium-large sheepdogs. The dogs were extremely anxious and nervous being in such a long line and in a small and cramped space. They were clearly not doing well. A staff member kindly asked the couple to bring the dogs outside. They were obviously not service dogs as they had no vest or badge and were clearly not trained to be calm in stressful situations. The couple then proceeded to lie and say they were service animals. The staff dropped it, but I feel that a sign may be helpful for the front door stating service animals only. It was uncomfortable to see these dogs in distress in such a small shop, they were whining and very anxious.

They actually know that eggs and breakfast potatoes can be prepared differently. The wait staff is excellent and knowledgeable. Go and enjoy their breakfast served all day. “probably not no. just entering the establishment their was paper towels all over the place and every surface was sticky, got up to the counter it was well over a half hour in line grabbing our purchase for one bowl I chose the fruity pebbles roll. the quality was very good of the ice cream. behind the line it looked clean but personally I think these young folks that work their need to try and fit some lobby maintenance here and their. I know it's rough sometimes. but those kids definitely were working their butts off every associate their was friendly too. but the entry was unesthetically pleasing.“

“Today was a beautiful day for me, and I felt like treating myself to a cold ice cream from MilkCraf. Upon entering the location, I was immediately impressed by the welcoming atmosphere, which felt like a haven. A young black man, who was diligently working on some reports, promptly attended to me with a very attractive and professional demeanor. I was unsure about which ice cream flavor I wanted and asked if he had pistachio, to which he replied no, but offered to let me try any other flavor and provided me with two samples of the two flavors I requested. He was very pleasant and soft-spoken, which made me feel at ease. As I considered my options, I was mindful of my budget, as I hadn't planned on splurging. However, the prices were higher than I had anticipated, and I informed him of my concern. He was very focused and offered to give me a discount, which I gratefully accepted. I asked for vanilla with caramel on a cone, and he efficiently prepared my order. I felt truly blessed by his kindness and told him so, expressing my gratitude for his blessings. I believe that he possesses all the qualities necessary to run a successful and loyal business, and his ability to provide excellent customer service with a blessing spirit is truly admirable. The ice cream was not only delicious but also generously portioned. I highly recommend this establishment to everyone, as we need more individuals like this young man who understand the importance of kindness, peace, and love in building strong relationships with customers. 🍨🍦
