We came in here for a late lunch on this very cold and dreary Sunday. When we walked in we immediately knew the type of restaurant this is. Having lived in Mexico for many years, I can tell you that this place is as authentic Mexican as authentic gets. We counted about six tables, and there was hardly a soul inside eating, so finding a nice table was a snap! It took less than a minute for me to figure out what I wanted to order. The quality of the food is very dependent on what you order. Four stars for the shrimp al ajillo, but the seafood soup was inedible. The pupusas are quite good. The staff are nice and clearly work hard.

The food is good- plentiful portion on both burrito and quesadilla and basically tasted like a home cooked meal. There are no menus other than the large one posted on the wall (without prices) and can/bottled soda/water were only accessed individually from the upright cooler. Chips and salsa were not served - maybe that's a more authentic experience? Also would have enjoyed a margarita but no alcoholic beverages available.
