We cannot thank enough our Ethiopian Uber driver who suggested Axum! Axum offers generous portions in a very family friendly, unpretentious ambience. The wait staff are wonderful and helpful in suggesting plates to those excited to explore Ethiopian cuisine. A must when in DC!
This place is great! Excellent food. Was served by one of the owners. A family owned restaurant that recently opened. Some of the previous poor reviews I think were from the place getting the kinks out.

Excellent injera, we had meat cubes and vegetables on top of it and it was fantastic. Ethiopians were here which made us feel as if we found the right place. Michael's service was excellent and warm. Really tasty, highly recommend.
