“Food is good and menu has something for everyone. The best part is the staff. Anna is an awesome server. She has taken care of our family a few times and she always remembers us and our preferences. She is great with kids. The last time my daughter and I were there she had another table with a couple that had a baby. She took care of them seamlessly while juggling everyone else.“

“I went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and overall I had a good time. The service was quick, the staff was very pleasant, and the food was really good. However, I was a bit disappointed because I had mentioned that I was coming for my birthday, but there was no special gesture or attention from the restaurant. A nice experience overall, but a little birthday touch would have made it even better. 🎂✨“

“All of the staff were super friendly. We definitely felt under dressed. I got the eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon. There wasn't much hollandaise sauce, so it was a bit dry and the Smoked Salmon was strong. Their potatoes and veggies needed seasoning. My daughter enjoyed her french toast. For basic Brunch, it was pricey. Not everything they offer is on the menu, we had to ask about juice and coffee.“

“The food is good, but I’m gonna have to remove stars because of the customer service. 😕 When I first entered, I wasn’t greeted. The associate just stared at me, as if to say “I don’t have all day. Are you gonna order anything?” She had the most stony expression… It was only my second time here, so I was quite sure I had not had any negative encounters with anyone. I was trying to get suggestions and ask questions about certain things, but every time I asked a question about something, the server just dumped it in the bowl. He never answered the question. When I got to the cashier, I apologized, because I wondered if I had done something wrong. But he just referred to me as “diva,” and tried to assure me that nothing was wrong. I told him I didn’t appreciate being called a diva. I just don’t like being treated like I’m a problem when I haven’t done anything. I gave two stars for service, because my first experience was so amazing! I don’t know what happened.“

“I’ve had Ethiopian cuisine around DC and was not impressed. I found this restaurant searching for vegan options on Google in NE. This is Eritrean cuisine so very similar to Ethiopian but I’m sure there are a few key differences. All of the food was extremely fresh and flavorful. I was thoroughly impressed. The owner was very nice and it made me feel like I had a home cooked meal right from her kitchen. I highly recommend this place! Full vegan menu even though labeled as vegetarian.“

Service was also a bit dismissive. We happened to come on a very hot day and there was no AC - it was just as hot as outside. Still giving 4 stars as the food we did have was good. “Love sharing the memory of the Mighty Mo with my nephew on his birthday. My brother and I are children of the 60's and 70's and remember Hot Shoppe and Mighty Mo's vividly because we spent a lot of time there, but my nephew had not heard of either restaurant. He loved the food and thought the Mighty Mo was the best hamburger he had had in a long time. Enjoyed the Cole Slaw and Onion Rings as well. Bravo Anthem!“
