Firehook Bakery is a Dupont Circle classic. I really like the coffee here, especially with their $1.95 drip coffee, which is hard to find in the DC area. Coffee has a strong roast, which is nice. Pastries are not too expensive. Definitely recommend the $1 sugar cookies. The pastries are usually seasonal, but they have some good challah bread and apple pies. I also like their chocolate mousse.This place is truly a gem, and I hope to come here again.
Firehook is a small bakery with a good selection on Q st in Dupont. We stopped by to grab some dessert while we continued our walk. Firehook had 2-3 workers handling the bakery so service was good with getting help. They have small area to eat inside but I would say it's best to eat outside at the tables or grab & go. Best bakery in dc!!Tried a cinnamon roll with icing and it was delicious. Spinach and feta crossisant was super tasty and so was chocolate espresso cookie. Also got a vanilla oat milk iced coffee and it was very good. Super nice staff and very fast service. Great prices.
