The Third Rail Reviews
Ate dinner here a night while staying at a nearby Hotel. The waiter mentioned they had a new menu and the grilled salmon were good so that is what I ordered after looking at the menu for a good bit. The salmon was in fact good but didn’t come with much else on the plate for the price. It was on a bed of spinach and that was it for an entree. I am glad i ordered a caesar salad with it. The Third Rail restaurant offers a mixed dining experience. While some customers have praised the warm atmosphere, especially during the holidays, and the Thanksgiving menu with generous portions of turkey and ham, there have been issues with service and food preparation. The steak has been noted as not being cooked to the ordered temperature, but still being flavorful with well-seasoned, melting fat. The fries were described as just average. However, the restaurant has received positive feedback for its willingness to accommodate dietary restrictions, such as grilling shrimp instead of deep-frying it for a customer with gluten restrictions. The service has been a point of contention, with reports of long wait times and servers being more attentive to other tables, but the restaurant has also received praise for its friendly and attentive staff, including Vashti, who handled a large group of 31 people without issue.
