A great place to enjoy Korean BBQ with a very fair price. The food is great but I wish there’s more variety.

Seriously not recommend this Iron Age (would give 0 if I can), never tried such terrible service before. As some previous reviewers mentioned, the Korean waiter here is so rude, this Iron Age is much worse than other Iron Age, please choose wisely.Let me share my terrible experience on 2021/06/26: The Korean waiter let me and my friend wait for more than 20 mins for no reason when the restaurant is not busy at all. There is only 5 group of customers there and plenty of tables available. We stand and watch him walk around slowly for nothing important while he never comes to serve us and just let us stand there like we are not guests at all, and then he rudely asks us to actually go outside of the restaurant and wait under the hot weather. His attitude is extremely bad, the worst I have seen in my whole life. He thinks he is your teacher, your god, and wants to teach you waiter's policy first and let you starve before letting you eat, and we tell him we have already waited so long and no one cares about us, we are totally invisible to waiters, we didn't get treated like guests here at all, and we want him to speed up a little bit and let us eat lunch instead of embarrassingly standing there being hungry. Then he unexpectedly super rudely ask us to leave by saying "YOU CAN NOT DINNING HERE". I was shocked hearing this from a waiter, so unusual to see such a rude waiter actually rudely ask you to leave if you are not willing to listen to his policy and ask him to act faster. Thank him for saying that, and I will surely never dine in this restaurant ever again nor recommend this restaurant to others. This is my first time try this Iron Age, and my friend's first time trying Iron Age, and we got this kind of service. We should definitely check reviews before coming here and choose Iron Age in other places. We eventually went to Iron Age in Rockville, which is much much better than this silly restaurant that needs you to wait for no reason like an idiot, learn waiter's policy before you eat, and insult you by saying "YOU CAN NOT DINING HERE" with an extremely terrible attitude as a waiter. I strongly agree with others' reviews, the Korean waiter should get immediately fired if he is in other places, but luckily, this poor restaurant has one space for him and make him act as the owner of the restaurant and allow him to treat guests so rudely. Maybe that is why this Iron Age gets so little review and so little amount of guests comparing to other Iron Age. Be wise, my friend, don't ruin your time and good mood in this place, with that Korean waiter .

My go to Korean BBQ spot in DC. Solid all around. Nothing particularly special, but it's always good. Favorites for me are Brisket, Iron Age Steak, and and all Bulgogi, and Kpop.

The food was definitely not it. The seasoning and the meat itself are very bad quality.

We had a great time at Iron Age. The staff are excellent and helpful! The marinated meats were fantastic.I only wish that they make two small changes:1) since certain meats on the menu need to be cooked on different surfaces, I would have liked to organize my servings by cook type to prevent waste, and time loss.2) the menu link from the QR code, is blurry when you try to read the meat descriptions (to see which ones are marinated or not)

I go to kbbq every week but this place was below the average. The service was so bad. 20% Tip was included but staffs were so mean and not even answering to you. I don’t know why they have to be so rude and ruin someone’s day if they decided to work there. The girl at the host was really disrespectful even though my friend was trying to be nice. Meat quality was really bad and tasted weird. I’ve been to here for few times but the quality is changing every time and not consistent. I don’t know what happened to the management but I won’t go back again.

Food is incredible. Brisket, pork belly, bulgogi, definitely try the kimchi and the rice cakes. Those rice cakes are heaven. Big shout out to Kyle for 10/10 service everytime. The K pop on the walls and dim lighting set a great vibe. I've been here 8 times since it opened, and I'll go 800 more. I've never seen anyone sitting at the bar, which makes sense. The action is at the table top barbecue. Again, every single visit the service is top notch. Kyle and the rest of the crew are attentive and helpful, seating is usually a short wait. Tip well, Order fast (I always write down my list of meats on a napkin after looking at the menu) and you WILL be taken care of at Iron Age.

We had such a good experience at this location. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They were very attentive helping us cook, and taking additional orders of food. The food was all incredible as well. The meats were marinated so well and tasted so good with the sauces. It all was very reasonably priced too. The space is fun and gives a "night life" vibe so fun to go with friends or fun with your partner. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend you try it out.

I’ve been coming here since it opened a few years ago, and the meat was consistently of excellent quality. However, there has been a marked decrease in the past few months. The meat has too much cartilage, and it’s obvious management has started purchasing cheaper meat to keep menu prices low.The service and atmosphere has retained its excellence, but I’m no longer excited to come due to the worsening quality of the food. What a shame Iron Age, please get back to how you were before. I’d much rather pay an extra $5-8 if it means great meats.

Lots of fun! Music is pretty loud, but typical with Korean BBQ spots. The food and service were top notch! Great atmosphere and awesome addition to the Columbia Heights area. Will definitely return :)

Fast and attentive service from Alex during this busy night on Valentines. Cuts of meats were almost on par with the $29 Dinner AYCE price tag, with enough options. Iron Age still exists as one of the cheapest AYCE Korean bbq establishments around. Only set back about this location is that I’m not a fan of those criss cross grills unless it’s for the steaks. Cooking the spicy pork bulgogi was especially difficult as it cooked unevenly with edges burnt because of the way it interacted with the fire on that grill.
