KC Café Reviews
I chose not to order. After checking the online menu the promise of things not being completely safe for food allergies had me hesitant. The area is clean. The prices were expected however, I just didnt want to spend the money and take that chance. They had dispensing wine, which I never seen before so I thought that was cool.
I was shocked at the poor reviews for this place. We are not local enough to eat at home before a performance so we had to eat here New Year's Day. We had a very positive experience. We arrived early before a Matinee and it was quiet and calm. They person serving at the counter even made a fresh batch of fries for us because the ones that were ready to go had been sitting according to him. No one has ever done that to me when I have gone to these cafeteria style places.

The smashburgers are tasty and excellent lvalue for D.C. The drinks are overpriced but it’s all for a good cause. They could improve the decor which very much feels like a cafeteria.

The KC Café, located conveniently near the Kennedy Center, offers a cafeteria-style dining experience with a variety of options to cater to different tastes. The menu includes kid-friendly items like mac and cheese and desserts, as well as sandwiches, hot food, and a coffee bar. The prices are typical for DC, and the view cannot be beat. The salad is an exception, of reasonable price, good quality and large portion. The entrance is inconspicuous, and it is a nice place to eat but very expensive. The food generally meets expectations for a cafeteria-style establishment.
