Kintaro Reviews
A bunch of latest 1-star reviews are clearly written by the same bot who hates the waitress. Kintaro is a tiny restaurant that has just one waitress and one sushi chef. They are vey busy, and if you're expeting the staff to check in with you every 5 minutes, that's not the right place. It's authentic and the food is great.
I love how awkwardly quiet it is…. Forces you and your group to create your own vibe for the meal…. the decor and photos of the food on the wall all add to the experience… the food court esque tables and bare bones place settings and cups… Love the owner/hostess/waitress. She’s the best!!!! … how cheap it is… and simple. If I could describe briefly: simple yet elevated, timeless. A must go place for anyone in Georgetown!!!
This is my favorite place to eat in DC. Authentic, Simple Sushi. The Chef is a master sushi chef. I have been served by him for 40 years and never been disappointed in any way. He will make anything you like if he has the ingredients. I asked for a dish not on menu and he produced it on the spot!" Poof" Like magic!!! I love Kintaro...
