I’ve actually been here twice and here’s the review from when I went there the first time!Went with my bestie after I got my first paycheck! It’s a really cute, vintage, and dainty little eastern european restaurant hidden on the side of Connecticut avenue. Most waiters seems to be Russian. Food was delicious and was prepared quickly. The ambience was amazing. Service was kind when received. Even the check came in a beautiful coin purse.
Mari Vanna DC is a cute, vintage, and dainty eastern European restaurant hidden on Connecticut Avenue. The waiters are mostly Russian, adding to the authentic vibe. The portions are huge, especially the Borscht and Lamb Shank. The Napoleon dessert is a must-try, a huge portion and the best napoleon cake around. The vintage interior creates a cozy atmosphere, and the house-infused vodka adds a kick to the heavy, delicious food. The staff exudes mystery and the service is impeccable. Known for dishes like roasted duck, classic beet and cabbage soup, and honey cake, this restaurant is a favorite in DC. Don't miss out before they close their DC location.
