“Definitely tasty! To be quite honest the wait on a Friday night was 3 hours (we arrived at 5:45pm), and I wouldn’t quite say it was worth it. They should get a bigger space or take online reservations so that folks don’t have to physically arrive to get in line. Love the vegan options though!“

“Great addition to the Wharf dining scene. Big menu with vegetarian options and some healthier options like poke bowls. Appetizers are a must try, my favorite is the miso eggplant and my boyfriend likes the karaage crispy chicken the most. The original tonkatsu ramen is the most authentically Japanese ramen I've had in DC proper, reminds me of a ramen I had in Tokyo earlier this year. I love the hot sauce that comes with it so much, it definitely makes the food taste authentic. If you here with someone, I would recommend sharing a ramen and some appetizers, as the ramen is very big and you wont be able to finish a whole ramen plus appetizers. Ask for Mario as your server, he is the kindest and very knowledgeable about the menu.“

“I cannot say enough good things about the service here! I originally placed an order at a sister location, but after facing a significant delay, I called this shop by mistake thinking it was them. Once I realized and switched my order to this location, the team here was incredible. They prepared the food lightning fast and even included some extra items on the house because of the inconvenience—even though the original delay wasn't their fault at all! It is so rare to find a business that goes above and beyond like this. The food was delicious and the staff is top-tier. Highly recommended!“

“I had one of the best bowls of ramen here and I’m still thinking about it. The broth was incredibly rich and flavorful, with that slow-cooked depth that warms you up instantly. The noodles had the perfect chewy texture, and every bite felt satisfying. The chashu pork was tender and practically melted in my mouth, and the soft-boiled egg was cooked just right with a creamy yolk. You can really tell they put care into every detail, from the toppings to the presentation. It’s the kind of comfort food that makes you want to come back again the next day. Just had the BEST no pretense miso ramen I’ve had in years. The broth is rich, rustic, and deeply miso-forward. The pork is chunky and tender. The greens are unfussy and perfect. One sip and I was basically transported back to 1980s provincial Japan.

Fast, friendly service and true ramen-shop energy. For $15, I got nostalgia, comfort, and actual joy in a bowl.
