I was lucky enough to visit while in DC for a conference. It was an excellent stop...absolutely superb service, great food and beer. I loved the vibe of the neighborhood too. I'll definitely go back next time in DC.

Based on the reviews, Right Proper - Taproom & Brewery is a great little bar and outdoor seating spot with a classic industrial-chique vibe. The atmosphere is cozy, warm, and calm with quieter vibes on a less-traveled road. The business treats its employees well and builds tips and wages into their prices. They are welcoming of everyone, including families, with a great patio and play area for kids. The brewery has indoor and outdoor patio seating, murals inside, and also a coffee shop inside with Zeke’s Coffee and pastries. For beer, the best IPA is "Raised by Wolves," which is incredible. The flagship pale ale "Raised by Wolves" has a clean and fruity nose. The spring seasonal "Senate Bock" has a sweet and malty nose. The spring seasonal "Häxan" is a well-balanced porter. The staple "Big Tomorrow" is a classic west coast IPA. They also have cider and wine options. Parking may be the only area of challenge if they are busy.
