I came here on a business trip to DC in 2018. Had some traditional Russian food. I was born in Russia and my parents still cook Russian food when I'm back home. The restaurant's food matches up well to the real deal with a modern flair. It's not just home food served in a restaurant. All of that being said, I feel disheartened that some ignorant people from DC (of which there are plenty) decided it was ok to vandalize this place. Been to The Russia House twice, had the Beef Stroganov both times and loved it both times. Impressive array of vodkas and quality levels, including some from places I didn't even know made vodka. Very upscale interior for either dining or sipping high quality vodka with friends while listening to Russian music.

Great experience at this restaurant. I have lived in DC my whole life and this was my first time. My coworkers and I went here for dinner and we all loved everything that we ordered. The music playing was a mix of russian-like club/lounge music so it gets you feeling energized and makes it a fun vibe in there.
