Great food and very clean place
It’s pick up only, you order at the kiosk and then they call your name when it’s ready. There’s not a lot of seating so it’s best to order ahead online or have it delivered.
Southern Style Chicken & Waffle offers a delightful dining experience. The chicken is flavorful, and the waffles are yummy. They also serve excellent macaroni & cheese, a favorite among customers. The restaurant provides good portions suitable for those with dietary restrictions. It's a hit for both dinner and breakfast.
The restaurant is described as serving authentic Southern cuisine. Customers can order from the Ivy City Food Hall in NE, DC location, which has a no-fee parking lot and street parking. The setup is unique, with orders placed through a kiosk that includes other restaurants. The counter is only for picking up orders, and customers should be patient as the service takes a little longer. The restaurant is open until 3 am, allowing for takeout or delivery.
The chicken and waffles are customer favorites, with the chicken being fried perfectly with a nice crisp and seasoned well. The mambo sauce has a balanced sweet and tangy taste. The macaroni & cheese is also praised as delicious, and the fries and banana pudding are great as well.
