“The tortas are both massive and delicious. Everything is seasoned to perfection. We’ve had burritos and tacos and enchiladas and they’ve all been flawless. The chips and salsa also come with a small cup of this delicious crab stick salad. Prices are fair and service is great. Best taqueria in North Wilmington/ Claymont.“

“Boggles my mind that a place like this can run out of straws. But the fact that my order was correct and the female who was at the register is very nice, that all made up for the inventory issue. There is a bit of a wait here, but I always said, if my order comes out right... take your time. I got the TacoBell nuggets before they discontinued them... yah, they should just keep with taco stuff. The size of these things are big for a nugget. It's more like a short and fat chicken tender.

“Celebrating a Fathers Day reunion, we 5 chose here because we share a love for good, creative Mexican fare... esp. table-made guacamole. Our guac and meals were delicious, as usual here. Our server, Sadie, was cheery and helpful in taking and serving our orders... but... Disappointingly, our table became ignored after we ordered sopapilla dessert. In fact, our dessert was served while our table was still cluttered with our meal dishes and silver, and without fresh dessert plates, spoons, etc. NOT GOOD! Our son then sought a waiter and commandeered plates and tools and we shared the dessert over a debris-strewn table ;-( I cornered the on-duty assistant manager (otherwise unseen for the evening) and shared my frustration with the evident inattention to service detail... he said, "I'll pass that on..." Try harder, folks!“

“Been going here for well over 5 years. Since about 2019. The service is always A1, the food is the bomb diggity and the prices are always reasonable. Whether you get take or dine in (do dine in the atmosphere and everything is worth it) you will have a great experience overall. The tacos are sooooo good they never missed, ever! I was told about this place by a coworker and decided to give them a try! The customer service, the freshly (on the spot) prepared meals, and the L.A. Taco Bistro signature sauce were all excellent. Be advised, with your food being prepared fresh to order, you will have a wait. My next time, I called ahead and my food was ready at pickup. “We randomly stopped at the New Castle Farmers Market on a drive elsewhere and randomly happened upon Los Jarritos and thought it was some of the best authentic Mexican we’ve had on the east coast (don’t you love it when that happens?).

We split a burrito with pork and green sauce and a chicken tamal. The burrito was better than the tamal but we still thoroughly enjoyed both.

The pork in the burrito was exceptional - and the red and green hot sauces were an ideal complement.

Chips and salsa were also delicious - can’t tell if they were included or not but our total bill including a Mexican coke was less than $16.

Stopping at this flea market felt like a portal to another world for us out-of-towners, but we enjoyed the experience and would happily go back to Los Jarritos.“

We had the shrimp tacos, chicken Mexi burrito, fish tacos, chicken fajitas, chicken tacquitos, and birria tacos. Everything was very fresh, delicious, large portions for a great price! “I was with a client who was desperately looking for a place to cash his check. After cashing out at the nearby United Cash Checking, we decided to enjoy ourselves by checking out El Amigo. I found a large, reasonably priced onion that I will use to make my chickpea curry.“

“UPDATE: 2024 - Food Quality still awesome! We got the "grandma's pizza" and unfortunately it was overdone. They made us a new one and were genuinely concerned on us enjoying the food. Mind you, this was done after it was delivered and they'd already closed. It was EXCELLENT the time! BTW, if you're wondering its a Sicilian margarita pizza with the texture of tomato pie. REALLY GOOD! Also, El Pastor is a another big hit!

When we moved to the area, our neighbors recommended this little place. They are my top place to go to for pizza. Recommend trying the margarita pizza, its way better than Ninos! Wings are yummy too, nice and meaty. Be warned the mild, isnt mild but still is flavorful.

In honesty, their pasta game is okay. I'd say Porto Finos for burgers and pasta, then 3 coutries for pizza.“
