“Husband and I had a wonderful dinner celebrating our birthdays at Shorebreak Lodge Restaurant this weekend. The restaurant decor is sophisticated and the seating is super comfortable. The owners Ben and Diane go over and above to make sure that you are comfortable and happy. Their craft cocktails are the best! Always wanted to try octopus and this dish did not disappoint. Everything from appetizers to dinner was so delicious. Everyone we have recommended the restaurant to has gone there for dinner and they always tell us how great their experience was. We believe this restaurant to be one of the best restaurants in Sussex County Delaware. We highly recommend.“

I feel like it can be hard finding a good vegetable dish when going out, but Station on Kings nailed this vegetable dish. I also got a side of chicken salad. “Stopped here with my family of 5 for lunch. The fruit and vegetables were not only fresh but large and delicious. We had a variety of salads and sandwiches. My daughter also had the smoked salmon platter which was simply amazing. The fruit parfait was large enough to be a meal itself and the fruit was so fresh. The tomatoes in the sandwiches were fresh and juicy. The manager/owner gave us some cookies for our wait time. We will definitely be back before we our trip is done.“

“I hadn’t been to Lewes, DE since 1991-1992, so while exploring and seeing what has changed. I happened upon Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant, which I learned opened in 1996. I never pass an opportunity for a pint or the traditional Irish meals an Irish pub offers. I was a bit concerned I might have to wait because the parking lot and streets were full. I walked in and was immediately seated. The inside is huge. Lots of seating. They were setting up for live music inside, so I opted for a table out on the deck and watch the sunset.
I ordered a pint of Guinness, portobello fries, and the corned beef and cabbage for dinner. Irish Eyes did not disappoint! The portobello mushroom fries were a hearty size. Easily could have been shared. It is no exaggeration that I had the absolute best corned beef and cabbage that I’ve ever tasted in numerous restaurants and pubs over the years. It was just fabulous. It is no wonder Irish eyes is celebrating 30 years here.
I was too full for desert, but was not rushed after my meal and was able to enjoy the atmosphere and live music for a bit. As I was leaving, I could see a lot of happy faces. People were talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves as one might expect. There were even a few who had taken to the dance floor in front of the live band.
This is definitely a place I recommend you visit if you’re looking for an Irish pub in the Lewes or Rehoboth beach area.

Parking: Although the parking lot and side street parking may be full, there will still be plenty of seating. Don’t be deterred, just find a spot somewhere and head on in.

Wheelchair accessibility: Irish eyes has a nice, gradual, switchback ramp that makes entry and exit to the pub and restaurant easy for everyone.“
