“The Tide Room at The Shore Beach Club: A Delightful Dining Experience Last evening, we had the pleasure of dining at The Tide Room at The Shore Beach Club in Ocean City, Maryland. Our reservation was for 8:15 PM, and despite potential parking challenges, we found it surprisingly easy to find a spot. The restaurant’s recent remodel is evident as you walk up the stairs into the inviting dining area. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted at the hostess stand and seated immediately. We appreciated the choice between indoor and outdoor seating, and the variety of seating options available, from semi-circle couches to large arrangements for bigger parties. Our server was attentive from the start, quickly providing us with water, drinks, and menus. After a brief look at the menu, we received a thorough rundown of the evening’s specials. The noise level was perfect, allowing for a pleasant conversation, and the open-air setting provided a comfortable breeze. For appetizers, we chose the crab dip and crab deviled eggs. While both were enjoyable, the crab deviled eggs stood out as the better of the two. I also tried a drink called “Lost in the South,” a refreshing blend of lemon and bourbon that became my favorite part of the evening. For the main course, I opted for the boardwalk fries with a crabcake, a dish labeled as an Eastern Shore Maryland specialty. It was served with tartar sauce and met my expectations with its classic flavors. To finish off the meal, we each selected different desserts. The restaurant’s take on the Maryland Smith Island cake, a cookies and cream version, was a delightful surprise and possibly even better than the traditional version. I highly recommend trying it if it’s available. Overall, The Tide Room offers a wonderful dining experience with excellent service, a comfortable atmosphere, and delicious food. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in Ocean City.“

“Delicious Breakfast and Wonderful Hospitality! My family and I were in Ocean City helping a relative move back to Wisconsin, and we stayed at the beautiful Hyatt Oceanview Resort. My daughter and I decided to try a breakfast spot on the Ocean City Boardwalk and found Crepe Daddy — and we’re so glad we did! The food and service were both amazing, but what really made the experience special was meeting Ben, the owner. His kindness, genuine personality, and personal touch made us feel so welcome. We had a great conversation with him that truly made our trip memorable. We can’t wait to come back with the rest of our family so they can meet Ben and enjoy his delicious breakfast menu and lattes. And quite possibly this will be our go to restaurant when we come down to Ocean City. This makes an amazing day trip from Dover to have a beautiful meal on the boardwalk overlooking the water. (We came back the following week with family. I was bragging about the floating crab meat on the soup. Unfortunately it depends on the chef if you will be treated like this. “Happy Jacks is absolutely the best breakfast restaurant anywhere and they have the most amazing staff and food. We never go anywhere else and it's even better now that we live here. My son, Woody has Down Syndrome, and as parents you always worry how he will be treated, well I can tell you from the very first time we walked into Happy Jacks he was treated with respect and true affection. He now knows all the staff, for his birthday then brought him his pancakes with a candle and they sang to him. And one of the waitresses is his Bff and they spend time together outside of her work. It truly is a family affair.“

“By far the best Chinese food in Ocean City—and I don’t even like Chinese food!

As a vegan, it’s really hard for me to find Chinese dishes that are actually flavorful and well prepared. Every time I’ve ordered tofu dishes from other Chinese restaurants in the area, the tofu has been mushy and practically tasteless. Not here!

The General Tso’s tofu is outstanding, and the vegetable lo mein is absolutely delicious. My husband orders some of the other dishes, and we are always blown away by the quality and flavor. He’s a Native New Yorker who knows good Chinese food, so when he gives a restaurant his stamp of approval, that says a lot!

This restaurant has been a staple in Ocean Pines for many years, and it’s easy to see why. The owner is absolutely delightful, the restaurant is spotless, and the food is exceptional.

If you’re looking for a truly great Chinese restaurant, give it a try. You won’t be sorry! 🥢❤️“

“Amazing through and through. The vibe, the building, the staff, the food and of course the beer! Amazing portions and prices. Took the entire family there today for lunch. The street fries, the tuna nachos, the crab dip apps were amazing! 3 got the Brisket Grilled Cheese, I got the huge fish and chips, 2 got Caesar’s with tuna and chicken. So huge we took a ton home. Happy hour at the Shark is our favorite place to go while visiting the Ocean. This was night number 3 for us this trip and as always the food was delicious maybe better than in years past. Always fresh served hot and always with a warn friendly smile. It’s always good to go the a place that’s has a feel like “Cheer’s “ atmosphere.
