“Visited the area and was not well-versed in the food scenery in the area. Stumbled upon Pizza Place and it ended up being a really great experience. While it is a little jarring walking in and not knowing what to do, you are greeted by friendly staff and able to seat yourself in any booth/table. The service was really the outstanding factor of this place. Super friendly, attentive, and even servers who didn’t serve you come by and check in. Additionally, they are honest and great at giving recommendations. Aside from their amazing service, the food was quite good for a small pizza place. I thoroughly enjoyed my pizza and the portions are huge!“

“I ordered a meatball Stromboli, garlic bread and 3 pieces of tiramisu....AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER, the driver REDELIVERS a meatball stromboli that they attempted to deliver to a wrong address. The bag kept it warmISH but the cheese had resolidified....the garlic bread didn't share the same fate.... cold and hard, it was inedible...and the 3 pieces of tiramisu are nowhere to be found! Its now been 30 minutes since I called them for the 3rs time..1st to order, 2nd to adk about my order because it had been over an hour and was told that they brought it here and when I told them my address they realized they brought it to the wrong place, and then 30 minutes after then later the Stromboli and garlic bread arrived and I called for the third time to tell them that I was still missing part of my order because the tiramisu didn't arrive.... 35 minutes later the delivery driver returned with three tiramisu.... it took 3 calls and over 2 hours to get my order. I AM SUPER DISAPPOINTED!! I ranted and ranted about how amazing the food was there and ended up with mud on my face....because this is what I got after raving and raving about them. They made me look like an absolute fool when I ordered from there tonight! not to mention there was absolutely no offer of a discount of any kind so I spent $45 for inedible garlic bread a cold stromboli and 2 or the three tiramisu were still frozen solid. SMDH.“

“Tonight, my husband and I tried a new place—Pizza King—completely on a whim. We had no idea it even existed until we walked out of Walmart, got in the car, and I happened to glance across the shopping center. I saw the sign and said, “Let’s give that place a shot!”

From the outside, it’s easy to miss, but once we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. The decor matched the vibe: super relaxed, a little cozy, and clearly a place where people come to unwind. Patrons were chatting with each other across tables—it had that small-town, family-friendly energy that I love.

There was a seat yourself sign up front, though a waitress moved it as we walked in. I wasn’t sure what that meant anymore, so I asked and she let us know that we could sit at any table, just not the booths (totally fine!). She even brought over a high chair for our little one right away, though we quickly found out it was broken—thankfully, there was another nearby that worked.

The menu is surprisingly affordable, especially considering how good the food was. I ordered the Crabby Flatbread—basically a crab dip spread over flatbread with Chesapeake seasoning—for only $10.99. It was so good. I also got a $2.50 side salad, which came in a teeny tiny bowl—so small that there was no way to add dressing without it overflowing. I ended up dumping it into my food basket to make it work. (They meant “side salad” in the most literal way. 😂👌🏼)

The kids’ menu was great too—tons of options, and the first place I’ve seen that actually offers Goldfish crackers as a side. Genius.

Now for the only downside: service was slow. There were only two servers working the entire (pretty packed) restaurant, and it definitely showed. That said, our waitress was sweet, bubbly, and kept a great attitude the whole time. She really made the experience better just by being kind and checking in with us when she could. We had to wait a while for the check and box at the end, and our 16-month-old was definitely done by that point (cue the screeches), but we made it through.

Heads up: you pay at the register, not at your table.

All in all, it was a really chill spot with better food than expected and a kind staff doing their best under pressure. I’d go back—maybe just not when the place is slammed.“
