“We stopped at Vanderwende’s and loved it! The ice cream was rich and creamy — I had cookies & cream and cupcake in a cup, while my partner enjoyed a waffle cone with mint chocolate chip and chocolate chip cookie dough. The waffle cone was sturdy and didn’t fall apart or drip from the bottom or sides, and both flavors were perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. The scoop sizes were generous and satisfying.
What makes this place extra special is the “farm to scoop” — it’s a local gem with that authentic charm. Parking is a bit limited, and I can imagine it gets busy in the summer, but it’s worth it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed the lovely outdoor seating area.

“Found The Frozen Farmer at Kroger, and had a coupon for it. So I decided to get the Peach Sorbet. It was delicious. I loved that they use the "misfit" fruit in their products.“
