“This place is a rare gem! I live in VA and visit family and friends in the coastal Delaware area often — despite not living in DE I had no issue finding Bella’s Cookies to pick up my order. For those of us who don’t have “ the world as our oyster”, so to speak, we do not mind taking the time to make an appointment to pick up special bakes that are as amazing as the cookies and cupcakes I picked up yesterday afternoon! I am not ashamed to say that most of these incredibly delicious treats did not survive our 2.5 hrs. drive back home — as I could not stop eating them while telling my spouse the entire drive home how amazing the cupcakes and cookies are…were! My spouse who has no special dietary restrictions, like myself, and is usually my “normal” blind taste tester also agreed and raved about how moist and delicious the cupcakes were, and the perfectly baked cookies (crisp on outside with a chewy-yumminess on the inside). I have finally found the one!! … not spouse, but bakery, Bella’s Cookies! Thank you so much Kelly Leishear for all your hard work, dedication, and passion while infusing your culinary artistic talents and perfecting the science of baking! I mean, WOW! Had I known the bakes were this delicious, I would have ordered more! “Surprisingly, we just found Surf Bagel today, and I'm not sure why we hadn't stopped by sooner! We got a pizza bagel, chicken salad, scallion cream cheese, and a garlic and Old Bay bagels. Bagels are the perfect texture of soft (not doughy), but with a very slight crisp crunch, and the flavors are on point. The atmosphere of this establishment is very happy. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, eager to assist, always busy doing something and not standing around playing on cell phones. Very fast ordering process and preparation of your "meal".
