“Happy Jacks is absolutely the best breakfast restaurant anywhere and they have the most amazing staff and food. We never go anywhere else and it's even better now that we live here. My son, Woody has Down Syndrome, and as parents you always worry how he will be treated, well I can tell you from the very first time we walked into Happy Jacks he was treated with respect and true affection. He now knows all the staff, for his birthday then brought him his pancakes with a candle and they sang to him. And one of the waitresses is his Bff and they spend time together outside of her work. It truly is a family affair.“

“Rise Up is an antidote to the corporate BS that plagues Ocean City. The location is a pain to get to, especially if you're going east on 50, and the parking lot is not at all sufficient for the high volume of peak hours. The coffee is good - miles better than Starbucks - the staff is friendly, and they will grind their coffee for you free of charge, which is nice. That said, as Rise Up has grown over the years, it's lost some of its charm and local vibe. It also gets so mobbed on weekends and late mornings (9-11) that I'd rather not drink coffee than wait up to 30 min for a drink. But if it's a Tuesday afternoon and I'm headed back from Assateague and in need of a coffee, I'll stop every time.“

We come down at minimum for every Cruisin car show in spring and fall, and used to often visit 1-2 separate other times through out the summer season. Several of the waitresses always remember us, as did our waitress this past weekend. They are hands down my favorite breakfast place in the area. Never had a bad meal here, and anyone I’ve ever brought has always wanted to go back again during our trip.“

“Hands down the BEST Italian meal we’ve ever had. We had Mozzarella in Carrozza, so delicious. My husband is a self-proclaimed veal snob and he said the veal Marsala was absolutely the best he’s had (and he’s had a lot fro over!) I had the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese. The pasta was clearly made fresh and cooked perfectly. The bolognese was so flavorful but not heavy. Portions are refreshingly sized appropriately and so completely satisfying. Generally we’re not dessert eaters, mostly due to being overfilled by oversized portions. Ordering dessert from Ristorante Antipasti was a forgone conclusion. I don’t know which was better, the Chocolate Lover’s cake or the Vanilla Butter Cake. Been coming to Ocean City for years and this was our first visit to this restaurant and now tops the list of favorites. Loved everything about it, atmosphere was relaxed but elegant, met the owner who was delightful and appreciative. Highly recommend!!“

“We heard our favorite bartender Jen Lowe was back on Wednesdays night so we booked and extra night to be able to stop by the Shark to say Hello. Happy hour at the Shark is our favorite place to go while visiting the Ocean. This was night number 3 for us this trip and as always the food was delicious maybe better than in years past. Always fresh served hot and always with a warn friendly smile. It’s always good to go the a place that’s has a feel like “Cheer’s “ atmosphere. Where they greet you like family and make sure you leave happy and looking forward to your next visit. So visit the Shark the best food in all of Ocean City.“

My son and his father recently ate here while visiting Ocean City, and after he came back home to St. Mary’s County, we realized his phone had been left behind. When I called the restaurant, not only did they confirm they had it, but the manager, Johnny, immediately offered to send it back to us. He asked for my address and shipped it straight to our home — no charge, no hassle, no questions asked. In a world where good customer service is hard to find, this went above and beyond anything I could have expected. This level of kindness, honesty, and genuine care for customers is rare, and it speaks volumes about the type of people who run this restaurant. Even though we live hours away, they treated us like locals and family. “Tried dinner here for the first time. Got a Ceasar salad that was delicious the croutons were amazing. Got the jerk chicken quesadilla and it was good flavor a little dry can tell it’s more a dry rub. Lacked a little on amount of cheese inside. But they were still good. My daughter’s boyfriend got the jerk chicken appetizer as his meal. They tasted better than they looked. He liked them but said he probably would not get again. My daughter got the chicken cheesesteak and she loved it. Make sure to ask everything that is on it because menu does not say it comes with tomatoes and lettuce and onions just says sauce and steak. They were pretty busy had about a 20 min wait which was not bad since they said hour. It is very loud but it’s to be expected but great if you love live music. The server was very good but because they were so busy took awhile sometimes before she came back but that is to be expected when so busy. Drinks were ok but not consistent in flavor or amount of alcohol. Everything was good and glad we tried but would probably not come back again for dinner. But they do have an amazing sunset.“

“The Tide Room at The Shore Beach Club: A Delightful Dining Experience Last evening, we had the pleasure of dining at The Tide Room at The Shore Beach Club in Ocean City, Maryland. Our reservation was for 8:15 PM, and despite potential parking challenges, we found it surprisingly easy to find a spot. The restaurant’s recent remodel is evident as you walk up the stairs into the inviting dining area. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted at the hostess stand and seated immediately. We appreciated the choice between indoor and outdoor seating, and the variety of seating options available, from semi-circle couches to large arrangements for bigger parties. Our server was attentive from the start, quickly providing us with water, drinks, and menus. After a brief look at the menu, we received a thorough rundown of the evening’s specials. The noise level was perfect, allowing for a pleasant conversation, and the open-air setting provided a comfortable breeze. For appetizers, we chose the crab dip and crab deviled eggs. While both were enjoyable, the crab deviled eggs stood out as the better of the two. I also tried a drink called “Lost in the South,” a refreshing blend of lemon and bourbon that became my favorite part of the evening. For the main course, I opted for the boardwalk fries with a crabcake, a dish labeled as an Eastern Shore Maryland specialty. It was served with tartar sauce and met my expectations with its classic flavors. To finish off the meal, we each selected different desserts. The restaurant’s take on the Maryland Smith Island cake, a cookies and cream version, was a delightful surprise and possibly even better than the traditional version. I highly recommend trying it if it’s available. Overall, The Tide Room offers a wonderful dining experience with excellent service, a comfortable atmosphere, and delicious food. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in Ocean City.“

I have friends who go for sports and just to sit at the bar, they really enjoy the atmosphere for that reason. The Original really gives college bar vibes.“

“This restaurant is an amazing place to enjoy a seafood meal in Ocean City. The buffet had a very large selection of seafood and steak. The buffet had four types of fish (including Swordfish, which was delicious) and a full salad and soup bar. The crab balls were pretty good too. It also had delicious desserts such as three types of cobbler. The restaurant was very clean and our server was super attentive. This experience was super memorable and I am looking forward to returning next time I’m in Ocean City. The Restaurant also had tanks of tropical fish which was a nice touch.“
