9 Best Chinese Restaurants near Rehoboth Beach

“I have been coming to this restaurant for years and it a must every time we visit Rehoboth. I usually attend with a large group ... which is great because we eat family style and can sample so many dishes. And they are all fantastic! We always go for the Salt and Pepper Calamari, Peking Duck, Steamed Halibut, and Chicken with Eggplant. And the service is wonderful as well. I highly recommend.“

“Tried Hunan for 1st time since we were picking up Poke Bowl next door and glad that we did. The small restaurant was very clean, we ordered three items to go: fried pork dumplings, pork lo mein and pork moo shu (we were in the mood for pork).
Never checked the on-line reviews (which we usually do) and glad we hadn’t because all three dishes were DELICIOUS! The food/ingredients were legit, portions generous and price incredibly reasonable. And should anyone be wondering what our experience base is for comparison, my spouse has decades of experience eating in NYC Chinatown. I was going to wait until we tried it a 2nd time just in case it was a fluke but older reviews are not so good and I wanted others to know that our opinion is that this the best, most authentic Chinese food in the area (and we’ve tried most of the asian eateries in the area over the last 5+ years).

We will definitely be back to try other dishes to see if Hunan can be consistently good, in the meantime if you haven’t tried them recently, maybe they have a new cook/cooks? The few recent reviews all seem much more positive than those a year or more ago, which unfortunately are pulling down their overall score.

“I come into town 1-2x a year. When I’m in town, I am always ordering from here. Food is always good and consistent. We always make sure we get the staples: Lo mein, fried rice, hot & sour soup, veggies with tofu, and beef & broccoli. Price is great. Portions are generous. Nice there is an online order option now. Happy returning customer. Highly recommend.“

“My wife and I dine there frequently. The food is consistently good and selection is plentifully The staff is courteous and prompt. The price is more than reasonable. Living is a resort community it's difficult for families to find an affordable restaurant. The Chinatown Buffet is a wonderful family choice. They are a true benefit to our community.“

“Solid, yet unspectacular Chinese Food. I started with the Egg Drop Soup. It had a slightly thickened broth which was flavorful yet not overpowering. I then had an eggroll. It had a nice crunchy exterior with a flavorful tender mix of vegetables on the inside. For my main, I had the Beef with Broccoli. The beef was tender and tasty and there were ample amounts of broccoli and even carrots. I ordered takeout. It was quick, and fresh when I arrived. Service was very friendly. Definitely recommend if you have a Chinese Food craving.“

“The nicest people, the perfect food, a homey atmosphere, it's always a pleasure and a treat.

We've been ordering take out for a couple of years.
The portions are always large, if you get a combo, it comes with vege fried rice, which is a treat, the food is not swimming in sauces as the volume is always appropriate to the portion of food you have, and the sauces are delicately seasoned. The food is always perfectly cooked and comes at a very good price.

We decided to dine in last night, and we were treated like members of the family. The same kind and lovely people who are always so welcoming at the front door were so happy we had come to eat in the restaurant, and it was a lovely and comfortable evening.

We didn't realize they have an itamae making sushi right there in house, so we're looking forward to going back for a special evening of delightful sushi treats.

“We order from them all time, mainly for the egg rolls, most places I have found only do spring rolls when you order an egg roll. We also get the chicken and broccoli, general Chos, house lomein and fried dumplings, all very good! Not fond of the fried rice though, they use Yellow rice.“
