About Doyle's

Doyle's is a cozy retro diner and restaurant known for its welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The food offers a taste of homemade cooking, with dishes like chicken and dumplings and chicken Alfredo receiving mixed reviews. Some meals, such as fried chicken livers and the Philly cheese steak, were praised for their flavor, while others, like the grilled chicken salad and club sandwich, were found to be dry and overpriced.

Customers have mentioned that the rolls were dry and the cornbread lacked taste, but the chicken was juicy, and the mashed potatoes and beets were great. The rice pudding, however, was undercooked and lacked flavor. Other popular items include the create-your-own omelet, chocolate chip pancakes, and an excellent spinach salad with grilled shrimp. The lemon meringue pie has also been described as phenomenal. The restaurant's atmosphere features an old diner feel on one side and a homey, expanded feel on the other, with the staff being some of the nicest around. Doyle's is considered one of the better family-owned restaurants in the area, offering easy phone-in orders and attentive service.

My husband, our aunt and I went to Doyles this evening. They were happy with their entree. I was not. We have been going to Doyles for a very long time and don't remember ever having a bad meal. Tonight was a disappointment, mostly for me anyway. The rolls were dry and the cornbread lacked taste. I ordered the 2-piece fried chicken entree not the AUCE. I do have to say the chicken was juicy, what there was of it. There was a lot of skin and barely any chicken. It may have...read full review
Had the fried chicken special with a baked potato which was delicious. Also had the navy bean soup which was very tasty. The sides we had (salad, cucumbers with onions and string beans were terrible). I found it hard to give them a rating with some of the food great and some terrible.
Excellent service, generous proportions at a good price.
