“There were four of us for early dinner on Saturday evening and it was superb! I can’t find one thing to complain about, from the wonderful waitress to the clean restroom! The food was delicious….we had crab soup which was so hot and tasty with lots of crab…. Steamed shrimp that were large and cooked perfectly…..Rockfish platter with fries was gone in minutes…,and crab cakes that were oversized and more lump meat than anything else! My husband had the swamp water…. Which he really looks forward to getting there. The parking lot was full and they were busy but the service was quick and reasonable !!! We can’t wait to eat there again!!!“

“After a week on the road and eating at several 4.5 star restaurants that fell short, this place was a welcomed relief! The quality and taste of food was head and shoulders above what we expected, and the service and atmosphere were likewise as pleasant.
The Salmon Bowl was flavorful without being overwhelming, and I enjoyed the Southwest Chicken salad and was completely satisfied.
My son ordered the Pizza and I was a bit jealous.
My daughter loves the food and appreciated how clean the whole restaurant was.
100% would recommend!

“Excellent food and beer! We had the loaded nachos. I order nachos everywhere I go and these are by far the best I ever had. Loaded with brisket, chicken and pulled pork as well as homemade pickled red onions. The dessert was cake and ice cream both made with the chocolate pretzel stout. Amazing!!!“

“This is a staple in my local community! The food has always been excellent from their chicken parm to their pizza options, and desserts! The entire staff is extremely friendly and welcoming!! They learn your name quickly! Very nice atmosphere whether for a casual outing, a birthday celebration, or a holiday dinner with family!!“

“THIS IS THE CLASSIC DINER I'M ALWAYS LOOKING FOR. THEY HAVE ALL THE BELLS & WHISTLES, EVERYTHING BUT THE SHINY SILVER EXTERIOR. BUT ONCE INSIDE THIS PLACE WRAPS YOU IN WARM COMFORTING ARMS OF THE ICONIC AMERICAN DINER. ALL THE CLASSICS AWAIT YOU, LIVER & ONIONS, REUBENS, POACHED EGGS, BUT THE STAR OF THE DELMARVA BREAKFAST, SCRAPPLE IS COOKED TO PERFECTION. AFTER A LONG MORNING OF WRANGLING CRABS OUT OF DUCK CREEK I ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO BRUNCH AT THE SMYRNA DINER. NATURALLY I PREFERRED THE ORIGINAL LOCATION AT DUCK CREEK CROSSROADS. SMYRNA IS A TERRIBLE NAME FOR A TOWN. WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT? NAME DUCK CREEK CROSSROADS AFTER A TOWN IN UKRAINE? I DON'T GET THAT? IT WILL ALWAYS BE DUCK CREEK CROSSROADS TO ME. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CALLED THE DUCK CREEK CROSSROADS DINER. SO I GUESS I LIKE EVERYTHING BUT THE NAME. IN A PERFECT WORLD THE DINER WOULD HAVE FROG LEGS & SNAPPER SOUP ON THE MENU. MAYBE SOMEDAY. ALL THINGS CONSIDERED THE SMYRNA DINER IS A PLACE THAT I WISH WE HAD IN NEWARK. STILL IT'S WORTH THE DRIVE.“

“After reading some older reviews, I wanted to share my recent experience at Capriotti's in Smyrna, DE. The 52% rating I saw online doesn't do this place justice! I had a fantastic cheesesteak with onions, peppers, and provolone cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was tender and flavorful, and the melted provolone with the grilled onions and peppers was the perfect combination. It's clear that the quality is top-notch, and the recent "Bigger, Better" initiative, which adds 25% more meat to their cheesesteaks, shows they are committed to providing great value. I've already been impressed with my meal and can't wait to go back and try more of their subs! If you're in the area and craving a great cheesesteak, don't let the old reviews stop you—Capriotti's is a must-try.“

“Great drinks and atmosphere! They have a rotating seasonal menu with a variety that you're sure to find something...or multiple that you'll love. Taco Jardin has a standing food truck there for some great munchies to go with the drinks.
Overall a great date night or even just a great local business to enjoy and support.“
