“The Orient Chinese restaurant in Pennsville never disappoints ! The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. I usually order takeout, and Lilly is always friendly when she takes my order over the phone. Everything is prepared perfectly, and she even checks you out with a smile. Great food, great service, and wonderful people - I highly recommend the Orient !“

“I had such a great experience at Applebee’s! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Lyndsey and Addie were amazing members of the management team and made sure everything was running smoothly and that guests were taken care of. My server, Agustina, was also wonderful! She was very attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Everyone was professional, welcoming, and made the experience enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this Applebee’s and will be coming back again!“

“Pat's has several locations; I frequent the one in Pennsville. It is clean, is good, and the prices are reasonable. Seating is spacious. In my opinion, they have the best pizza- thicker crust, lots of cheese, and good portions. The menu offers plenty of lunch and dinner choices. Finally, they give senior and group discounts, making it a good choice for your group get together eating in , take out or catered.“

“Scalessa's gave me 2 great things. The first was the happy flashback of eating at Priori's at home. The secons was that Scalessa's food was out of this world. I had the Four Cheese Gnocchi which bards would write poems about. I cannot say enough about the awesomeness of this fine establishment! I will definitely come back when I visit my sister again.👍“

“First time ordering from here tonight and we WILL BE BACK… like a lot. We live in pike creek and will make the drive. We got the red beans and rice, gumbo and tomato soup and we need to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I just got back from New Orleans and my husband was sad because he loved the food so I googled and found this place! The gumbo was literally better than we had down there 😍 SO GOOD. And everyone working when I picked up (one was the owners daughter) were so passionate about how they make everything from scratch and kept giving me samples of everything and telling me their story. It’s a WONDERFUL locally owned place that should be protected at all costs. Cannot recommend enough!“

“Just stopped in for a quick drink, but this is a wonderful little gem tucked away in a scenic alley amidst beautiful Old New Castle.
Their cocktails were fantastic, the coffee and tea list was extensive and diverse, and the food looked delicious as well - we’ll come hungry next time!“

“I Was in town for a Private Event, it was held at Keem's, Christian was manager that evening. My husband and I had a wonderful time, EVERYTHING was amazing, we have been talking about the food all the way back to Virginia! Thank you to the Entire Staff for all your efforts! In particular, our host, named Gabbi was so sweet and patient with us when we wanted to switch our seating area from outside to the dining room. “My group of five just returned from lunch at Di Paolo’s and, my goodness, they absolutely nailed it. Our server, Eri, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun—he made the whole experience feel personal rather than just another lunch service.
The fall cocktail menu deserves its own mention: creative, extensive, and delish. The Pumpkin Spice White Russian was the unanimous favorite at our table.
Most of us went with the three-course lunch special for just $20 (with one holdout who understandably couldn’t resist the famous crabcake), and we were truly impressed. Soup or salad, an entree, AND dessert for $20 feels almost suspiciously generous these days. The salads were fresh and flavorful, portions were substantial. The spicy rigatoni was excellent, just the right amount of heat. The salmon and shrimp entree was another table favorite.
And perhaps the smartest part of the whole deal: leaving with a delicious dessert. Lunch now, little treat later. Perfect.
A huge thank you to Eri for the great recommendations and stellar service. Excellent food, creative drinks, generous portions, and an experience that felt genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Five stars all around—we’ll absolutely be back.“

It is best to order ahead so when you get to the the restaurant it is ready. This is authentic Puerto Rican food and takes a little time. They get busy fast because of the deliciousness and soul this local owned business brings to the community.

The bread is great and the sauce was really flavorful. The arrancini balls were good.
The pasta was a bit dense and the gnocchi had a slightly weird taste to it.
