The drink offerings (both alcoholic and non) are refreshing and flavourful. It's rare to find a place that never misses! A true Hockessin staple, but worth the trek for us and others!“

“Scalessa's gave me 2 great things. The first was the happy flashback of eating at Priori's at home. The secons was that Scalessa's food was out of this world. I had the Four Cheese Gnocchi which bards would write poems about. I cannot say enough about the awesomeness of this fine establishment! I will definitely come back when I visit my sister again.👍“

“Just stopped in for a quick drink, but this is a wonderful little gem tucked away in a scenic alley amidst beautiful Old New Castle.

Their cocktails were fantastic, the coffee and tea list was extensive and diverse, and the food looked delicious as well - we’ll come hungry next time!“

“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. “This was my third time at Ground Provisions over the past 6 months and I'm a big fan! I've thoroughly enjoyed the multi-course menu with the wine pairing in the dining room and at the Chef Counter. Both areas were lovely but being able to see the food prep at the counter was fun for my son who loves cooking. I also sat at the bar with a friend ordering from the bar menu. As much as I loved the little store, I appreciate the extra space they put in for dining now. I hope it continues to do well. So happy there is a fine dining option locally for vegan fare.“

“My husband and I are frequent customers and rave about Sam’s to everyone who comes to visit us. I love the Italian Special. My favorite part about their subs is how their light and fluffy rolls really let the quality of the ingredients shine. This also means the sub isn’t overly filling as a single serving, and you don’t have to chew forever. The staff are a hoot and the old school feel gives me such nostalgia.“

“We had a wonderful wedding rehearsal dinner for 30 people in this restaurant's backroom! Suki could not have been more accommodating. She met all the special diet requests we had: gluten free, vegan, and pescatarian without pause. She allowed us to set up our own bar and bring in our own dessert. Moreoever, she allowed me time to decorate. Her pricing is very fair and my guests raved about the food! High praise for this restaurants ability to handle small groups!“
