“This was a place recommended by a friend and it absolutely didn’t disappoint. It’s an independently owned business mostly breakfast and lunch specials. I truly wish people appreciated more family/independently owned businesses as they are the heart of a small community. I had some time before a car appointment and wanted something quick and easy before my appointment. This space is truly cafe sized. It’s small but the community vibe is so sweet and you can enjoy the folks you are with or even your own company. Miss Betty welcomed me and asked how I found them which was word of mouth and told me their specials for the day and I decided to get the Taste Budz special breakfast. I was really hungry from working the night before and didn’t eat at all. I left completely full and the food is made to order so it was hot and the portions were huge. When group of veterans and local fire company they asked me if I was gonna eat all the food I ordered 😆. I smiled and said “I sure am!”. When you walk in you seat yourself and they have tables and booths (more tables than booths). The coffee as strong but tasty. I throughly enjoyed my food and got out in time for my appointment. “Scalessa's gave me 2 great things. The first was the happy flashback of eating at Priori's at home. The secons was that Scalessa's food was out of this world. I had the Four Cheese Gnocchi which bards would write poems about. I cannot say enough about the awesomeness of this fine establishment! I will definitely come back when I visit my sister again.👍“

“First time ordering from here tonight and we WILL BE BACK… like a lot. We live in pike creek and will make the drive. We got the red beans and rice, gumbo and tomato soup and we need to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I just got back from New Orleans and my husband was sad because he loved the food so I googled and found this place! The gumbo was literally better than we had down there 😍 SO GOOD. And everyone working when I picked up (one was the owners daughter) were so passionate about how they make everything from scratch and kept giving me samples of everything and telling me their story. It’s a WONDERFUL locally owned place that should be protected at all costs. Cannot recommend enough!“

“This was my third time at Ground Provisions over the past 6 months and I'm a big fan! I've thoroughly enjoyed the multi-course menu with the wine pairing in the dining room and at the Chef Counter. Both areas were lovely but being able to see the food prep at the counter was fun for my son who loves cooking. I also sat at the bar with a friend ordering from the bar menu. As much as I loved the little store, I appreciate the extra space they put in for dining now. I hope it continues to do well. So happy there is a fine dining option locally for vegan fare.“

“This was my second visit to Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft, and my first time experiencing their happy hour—and it did not disappoint. The menu had a great variety, and I enjoyed both the drinks and the pork bao buns.

A standout “happy accident” was ordering the pretzel rolls with truffle butter… absolutely amazing. That alone is worth coming back for.

The bartenders were attentive and provided great service throughout our visit. We also tried the deviled eggs, which were just okay for me—the mustard base was a bit too strong for my taste.

Overall, Ripplewood is a lovely spot with a relaxed vibe and nice outdoor seating in the back. It’s a great place for drinks, small bites, and a chill evening out.“

“15 minutes from Philadelphia International Airport is this terrific restaurant/bar. They have a small live music stage, a sizeable bar, darned good food and creative mixed drinks.

We went with Potato Pierogies, a grilled Italian Chicken sandwich with tots (that would have benefited from some seasoning), Apple Autumn Sangria and Creamy Espresso Martini. The drinks were well done and amply sized.

We were pretty stuffed, so the Basque Cheesecake with berries, and the Italian lemon creme cake went home with us for a midnight snack.

The nice young lady acting as hostess happily got us some t-shirts, and our waitress was prompt and attentive.

By the way, if you have never SEEN fainting goats, Google the video. You'll have a great laugh.“

“My daughter said that she was looking to have sushi for lunch today, so we decided to give Herosame in Ardmore a try. Wow, this is one of the best sushi meals we've had in the Philly area and definitely on the Main Line. I called in our takeout order and the server who took our order was very friendly and polite as was the server who brought us our order while we waited in the vestibule. We ordered the Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box and the Lunch Triple Roll Combo. Wow! I thought they had accidentally give us another person's order as the bags were quite heavy. Both lunch specials could easily be split over two meals or at least a meal and a leftovers snack. The Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box included a small house salad, a pint of Miso Soup, 2 Shumai, a California Roll, 6 large Teriyaki Shrimp and a pint of steamed white rice. The salad was a crisp and refreshing spring mix with thinly shredded carrots and a halved grape tomato with a delicious dressing. The Miso soup was very rich and tasty. The Shumai were delicious with a nice crisp exterior, but soft, tender and enjoyable meat inside. The California Roll was huge and stuffed with super fresh crab stick and vegetables topped off with tobiko. The Teriyaki Shrimp were just a hair overcooked, but still delicious. The Three Roll Lunch Combo featured a choice of three rolls from a list of twenty different rolls so my daughter picked the Shrimp Avocado Roll, Tempura Roll and Philly Roll. All three rolls, just like my Bento Box's California Roll were huge with the Shrimp Tempura Rolls being gigantic. One piece of the tempura roll was at least twice the size of other sushi rolls I've had. Each roll was stuffed with the traditional meats and veggie fillings. Everything was so fresh and delicious! Herosame will definitely be on our family's list for future Japanese lunches and dinners!“

“I used America's Pie as the cater for my in laws 50th wedding anniversary. This place deserves 10 ⭐️. Mechele was great to work with! George the owner packaged our order and packed it so neat and loaded my car. My only regret is not taking pictures of the presentation. Food was delicious; presentation was straight out of a magazine presentation. The price so was reasonable- I almost feel like I robbed them for how good the food was and the price I paid. Easiest process from ordering to pick up. The guest at our party raved about the food. The desserts were so scrumptious everyone went for seconds!
