We got the red beans and rice, gumbo and tomato soup and we need to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I just got back from New Orleans and my husband was sad because he loved the food so I googled and found this place! The gumbo was literally better than we had down there 😍 SO GOOD. And everyone working when I picked up (one was the owners daughter) were so passionate about how they make everything from scratch and kept giving me samples of everything and telling me their story. “This was my second visit to Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft, and my first time experiencing their happy hour—and it did not disappoint. The menu had a great variety, and I enjoyed both the drinks and the pork bao buns.

A standout “happy accident” was ordering the pretzel rolls with truffle butter… absolutely amazing. That alone is worth coming back for.

The bartenders were attentive and provided great service throughout our visit. We also tried the deviled eggs, which were just okay for me—the mustard base was a bit too strong for my taste.

Overall, Ripplewood is a lovely spot with a relaxed vibe and nice outdoor seating in the back. It’s a great place for drinks, small bites, and a chill evening out.“

“15 minutes from Philadelphia International Airport is this terrific restaurant/bar. They have a small live music stage, a sizeable bar, darned good food and creative mixed drinks.

We went with Potato Pierogies, a grilled Italian Chicken sandwich with tots (that would have benefited from some seasoning), Apple Autumn Sangria and Creamy Espresso Martini. The drinks were well done and amply sized.

We were pretty stuffed, so the Basque Cheesecake with berries, and the Italian lemon creme cake went home with us for a midnight snack.

The nice young lady acting as hostess happily got us some t-shirts, and our waitress was prompt and attentive.

By the way, if you have never SEEN fainting goats, Google the video. You'll have a great laugh.“

“My group of five just returned from lunch at Di Paolo’s and, my goodness, they absolutely nailed it. Our server, Eri, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun—he made the whole experience feel personal rather than just another lunch service.

The fall cocktail menu deserves its own mention: creative, extensive, and delish. The Pumpkin Spice White Russian was the unanimous favorite at our table.

Most of us went with the three-course lunch special for just $20 (with one holdout who understandably couldn’t resist the famous crabcake), and we were truly impressed. Soup or salad, an entree, AND dessert for $20 feels almost suspiciously generous these days. The salads were fresh and flavorful, portions were substantial. The spicy rigatoni was excellent, just the right amount of heat. The salmon and shrimp entree was another table favorite.

And perhaps the smartest part of the whole deal: leaving with a delicious dessert. Lunch now, little treat later. Perfect.

“My daughter said that she was looking to have sushi for lunch today, so we decided to give Herosame in Ardmore a try. Wow, this is one of the best sushi meals we've had in the Philly area and definitely on the Main Line. I called in our takeout order and the server who took our order was very friendly and polite as was the server who brought us our order while we waited in the vestibule. We ordered the Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box and the Lunch Triple Roll Combo. Wow! I thought they had accidentally give us another person's order as the bags were quite heavy. Both lunch specials could easily be split over two meals or at least a meal and a leftovers snack. The Lunch Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box included a small house salad, a pint of Miso Soup, 2 Shumai, a California Roll, 6 large Teriyaki Shrimp and a pint of steamed white rice. The salad was a crisp and refreshing spring mix with thinly shredded carrots and a halved grape tomato with a delicious dressing. The Miso soup was very rich and tasty. The Shumai were delicious with a nice crisp exterior, but soft, tender and enjoyable meat inside. The California Roll was huge and stuffed with super fresh crab stick and vegetables topped off with tobiko. The Teriyaki Shrimp were just a hair overcooked, but still delicious. The Three Roll Lunch Combo featured a choice of three rolls from a list of twenty different rolls so my daughter picked the Shrimp Avocado Roll, Tempura Roll and Philly Roll. All three rolls, just like my Bento Box's California Roll were huge with the Shrimp Tempura Rolls being gigantic. One piece of the tempura roll was at least twice the size of other sushi rolls I've had. Each roll was stuffed with the traditional meats and veggie fillings. Everything was so fresh and delicious! Herosame will definitely be on our family's list for future Japanese lunches and dinners!“

George the owner packaged our order and packed it so neat and loaded my car. My only regret is not taking pictures of the presentation. Food was delicious; presentation was straight out of a magazine presentation. The price so was reasonable- I almost feel like I robbed them for how good the food was and the price I paid. Easiest process from ordering to pick up. The guest at our party raved about the food. The desserts were so scrumptious everyone went for seconds! “We just got two large pizzas for our first visit (both were Detroit style - the Motown and the Greektown). For only two people eating, we have almost a whole large pizza of leftovers and let me tell you, I cannot wait to eat them tomorrow. The Motown is the best pepperoni pizza that we have ever had and we are major pizza fans in this family, so that says something! For my Greek fans, I highly recommend that Greektown pizza, so flavorful and don’t even get me started on the crust! 😁“

“This was my first time ordering from Dino's Style Pizza. I have been very disappointed with the pizza in this area. The crusts are so thin and limp. Dino's crust was crisp and substantial. Unlike the pizzas I've had recently, their pizza I could hold with one hand. Their pizza was tasty and well cooked. So far it is the best pizza I've had since living in Glenolden. Definitely a thumbs up. I will be ordering from Dino's again.“
