“Nice bakery with a large variety to choose from. The pastries are absolutely delicious. Customer service was very pleasant. It appears crowded but the lines do move pretty fast. Parking is a little thick but otherwise this is a very nice location.”

“Great ambiance and amazing food. I had a lot of food… falafel, spicy hummus, kafta kabob, tzatziki loaded with veggies, cheese balls, and baklava. All so delicious and fresh. I even loved the fresh pita and dipping sauce that was complimentary. From the manager and many servers, everyone was pleasant and friendly throughout my time there. I went during happy hour so the specials were great during that time. I’m definitely returning to this Mediterranean restaurant for sure. I loved it.”

“I've been going to Pieloon for a few years now and it is THE BEST restaurant in Downey! The food is always fabulous, the portions are large, the service is perfect! I've had appetizers, salads, pastas, steaks, burgers, sandwiches (I'm addicted to the BLT) and many of their specials. My family and I go now 2x a week and have trouble deciding what to get because it's all so good! And the pies...their pumpkin pie is the best I've ever had and the blueberry cheesecake is fabulous...but just wait until fresh peach pie season...I'll gain weight just thinking about it...the fresh peach is the best pie I've ever, EVER had! I love this place and the people who work there!! They're like family now!”

I purchased a Felafel meal and I received felafel balls that looked and tasted like charcoal. I returned the next day to return the entire meal and the young man at the cash register said, "You purchased this yesterday." I said, "this is terrible. Do you feed this to other people?" He said again, " you got this yesterday."
He didn't accept responsibility, made me feel like I was wrong for returning the horrible felafel.
I spent $14. and wasn't even offered anything for my loss. I am disappointed.
It was my first time there and I was treated unkindly when it came to tell them I was wronged. Shame be upon you.

“I was in the area for lunch and the scent of fresh churros filled the air. I’m glad I went in and tried it. The prices are pretty good and the Churros were delicious. They had a nice menu and my wife and I decided we would come back soon to try some of their breakfast options. It is a small space so it wouldn’t be able to accommodate a large group but if it’s just you and a significant other you may enjoy a tasita de café de olla and some of their churros or other fresh baked goods. Give it a try for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

“I always enjoy when the people taking your orders and preparing your food look professional. I used the drive-through, and Sergio was very professional when ordering my burger. I requested the spicy ketchup and some ranch dressing for my onion rings. I got the double cheeseburger, which tasted great, and the onions rings. The value for this meal is there. When you have everybody raising their at the mirror believe that because everyone else does it, they need to do the same.It's refreshing to know that there are still companies who make a reasonable profit off of making hamburgers. “The atmosphere was astonishing I was mesmerized as I tried to catch ever beautifully decorated chandelier and pieces of art Mosaic, especially the ginormous faux melting candle. Just as you catch from the side of your eyes it a cart wheeling private bar tender inquiring on if you would like a margarita! We ordered a $75.00 plate of filet mignon, shrimp, and scallops; I was disappointed for that price they give one shrimp a d two scallops? Steak was the bomb dot com though.”

“Tried out this restaurant for lunch. There's great lunch specials where you pick your main item, and it comes with soup, salad, rice, and fried wonton strips. The soup was a clear broth with vegetables and a small piece of chicken. I also tried their thai tea. Everything was delicious. The service was great and the servers were so nice. I accidentally spilled my thai tea on my pants. The staff was kind enough to give me a complimentary to go cup filled with a new thai tea. I was very appreciative. It was clear that the staff were genuinely nice caring people.”

“Good honest American Chinese food. I ordered the mushroom chicken, sweet and pungent shrimp, wonton soup, and fried cream cheese wontons. I enjoyed the dense fried batter used on the sweet and pungent shrimp. The sauce was light and not overly sweet. I enjoyed the dark mushrooms in the mushroom chicken. The sauce did not over power the vegetables, nor was it over salty. The wonton soup was incredible. The filling in the wontons provides additional flavor with a hint of caraway or anise. The broth was lite and not briny. Probably the best Chinese restaurant in Downey.”

I understand in England Fish is eaten with vinegar (malted) but you're in California and we luv Fish with Lemon ? and tartar sauce, btw thanks for the tartar sauce. Luv what you serve (it's Great) ... I would just like to add that Lemon ? not only is it good but it also cuts the taste of the frying oil from one food item to the next, when there is no Lemon all the food starts tasting the same and the frying oil can be a bit overwhelming. We want Fish & Chips to stay in Downey forever ?

“Super deli place for those sinful cravings but they are worth it ?. Delicious tejuino, a very Mexican flavor. Bionics are the basic ones, without a doubt very rich. The very tasty skis as well as its fresh waters (Aguas locas) and snows. Everything was undoubtedly very tasty and the service was excellent!!”

My dad and I came here after seeing that our normal place was packed. So worth it! The salsa was amazing. They give you homemade tortilla chips with that salsa and it's bomb! We ordered the molecaje and queso fundido. Also amazing. They had the dodger game on and it was a bit noisy but overall a fun time with great food. I can't wait to go back!”

The boba is nicely cooked and just the right chewiness. We love the combos for the food and being able to pick a rice dish with the fried pork chops for a combo price is nice for a quick lunch with boba tea. Cashiers are always friendly and work quick to have your food out. Only a handful of tables so not much seating. Lots of parking. Their tea is a good brew and not bitter.”

This is the closest I've had to a legit bagel in New York. The owner/manager running the shop was friendly and they provided excellent service. If you're anywhere near Downey, get any bagel with the garlic and herb spread and experience the big smile of enjoyment I did. Call it nostalgia of being in NY as a kid, but their bagels are top notch. I'll def be back when I am in the area again. Also, the iced Thai tea is very good.”
