“We visited River & Post last night for the first time for a birthday dinner after hearing so many good things, and I can honestly say the praise was very well deserved. Everything from the quality and timeliness of our meals to the friendly, informative and attentive servers were exceptional, which sadly is not a common trait in upscale restaurants. I had the Broiled Ocean Platter which consisted of broiled mahi, three sea scallops and four large shrimp served in a citrus herb beurre blanc sauce, whipped potatoes and beautiful crisp tender veggies. All of my entre ingredients were cooked perfectly, the buttery lemon sauce was such a nice compliment to this dish and let all the distinct flavors of each seafood component shine. Too often sauces can be overpowering and used to moisten overcooked and flavorless seafood. I’m glad I opted out of a predinner salad or appetizer as this entre is very substantial and I wanted to save some room for dessert. My husband also very much enjoyed his choice of the Seared Filet Mignon served a mustard demi-glace, confit potatoes and sauteed broccolini. The steak was perfectly prepared to his medium rare request and he raved about how flavorful it was. Both of our meals arrived hot, beautifully plated, and we devoured them completely. Then the decision came for dessert. Since we were sharing, we opted for the wonderfully decadent Chocolate Mousse Torte. This torte could easily be called “Death by Chocolate” due to its intense deep chocolate flavor which had a more silken fudge like consistency than a typical fluffy mousse, but still seemed surprisingly light as the chocolate just melted in our mouths. The torte was served with a chocolate drizzle, freshly whipped cream and plump blackberries. What a wonderful finish to this birthday dinner! Thank you, R&P, for this great dining experience. We’ll definitely be back, and we won’t be waiting for the next birthday to do so.“

“Amazing evening out. Everyone was so friendly as you entered the restaurant. It started with one of the best pomegranate martinis I ever had. Our server Jessica was excellent and all the servers that came to the table paid attention to detail. The most impressive part of the evening was the impeccable style of chef Justin. We had the 6 courses chef’s adventure tasting menu and I cannot say enough about the cuisine. The harmony of flavors and the mastery of technique with the plating presentation was magnificent. The chef came to the table to explain each plate that was presented. He’s very knowledgeable regarding the dishes he prepares and you could see his personality come through in the way the dishes were plated and the flavors that came through with each plate. With the cuisine Justin is preparing this restaurant could be a Michelin star restaurant in notime. By the way I am gluten free so the chef had to make changes to my dishes only. I cannot say enough on how much we enjoyed the entire evening. We will definitely be visiting Matthew’s again.“

“We went for breakfast. A maps search led us to this 4.8 star rated venue. It did not disappoint. I had fish and eggs with a biscuit and hash browns. My wife had eggs, grits sausage and a biscuit. Both were outstanding. The fish was fresh and hot while the biscuits, grits and eggs were all outstanding. Tracy kept the coffee filled and it was hot and strong.

I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great breakfast.“

“Came 6/12/26 would love to know who the DJ was last night. He was KILLIN IT ! Waitress was ok but it wasn’t very busy and she kept forgetting stuff I waited 1hr for oysters and it wasn’t busy.loved the vibe here tho. Ordered oysters, 2 servings of bang bang shrimp, jerk pasta (wish it had more seafood in it & that shells weren’t connected on shrimp still), and order a couple other things. So we spent a nice amount. Food a little pricey but def best thing I ate was the oysters and bang bang shrimp. Would def go back.“

“Medusa Lounge Jax is the ultimate VIBE!!! I’ve been here on several occasions including a VIP on my birthday with all my friends. This is the ONLY venue in Jax where I felt safe like I was hanging out with my family. The music sounds like my personal playlist and had me on my feet all night long. The food OMG! I will literally leave my job with food just to come eat food HERE. I’ve had the Shrimp and grits, any of the rasta pastas, and the wings are TOP TIER. Everything comes out fresh and the flavors and so unique. The bartender MALIBU gave us world class service. You can tell when a bartender really enjoys their job and she was the epitome of sister/friend at the bar. I’m not much of a drinker and didn’t know what to order and asked her to come up with something kinda strong but sweet… Malibu came up with this moderately fruity, almost tropical tasting tequila drink that I haven’t forgotten about yet. I can’t wait til next week. I also happened to see my friends and I on the Instagram page a few days later by surprise and it brought back all the feels. It’s safe to say I love this place. It even looks cool inside like a Versace decor I’ve never seen anywhere else. I will be revisiting this club as much as possible. VIP is a must because this place gets packed every night!!!!“

“This is low key a gem for the EDM community because it’s truly an intimate setting where you can be so close to some amazing djs. These artists play to crowds of thousands every day yet here they are 2 feet in front of you rocking with your crew.

The bouncers are professional and focused from what I’ve seen, they serve justice to the people who deserve it. Bar staff is always cool, the big dude at the main room bar has always been happy and helpful for years.

Additionally, the vip tables next to the dj stand are a reasonable price for the industry, and you’re right next to the DJ! If you guys keep inviting hardstyle artists I’ll buy them tables!

“I was there on a Tuesday. If you'd like somewhere quiet and beautiful, Tuesday is great here, we had the entire side of the restaurant by ourselves with our amazing waitress (Selina). The food was just as delicious as well. Definitely going back again!“
