They recently got rid of their board games that they had for customers to play, which is the only (small) negative. Great beer, dog friendly, and they even have a military discount. And you can even spot local politicians / local celebrities in here having a brew occasionally!“

“before last night it had been a while since I had been the trip to the triangle. and what a great feeling to be welcomed as if I had not miss the day with everyone's hellos and hey how you been felt right at home. The triangle will always hold a special place in my heart as their management allowed me to hold my uncle's celebration of life there a couple of years ago. and memory of games played with him on the pool tables there I always bring smiles to my face after last night I realized how Rusty I've become on the pool table so I'm sure to be back real soon to practice some and I recommend anybody who would like to have a good time relax and a nice cool beer to do the same again thanks to everybody there I appreciate you guys“

“Passing through after our cruise, we talked about the exceptional level of service we experienced on the ship and how it would not be topped. Then we went for happy hour here on our two-day stay before heading back home. Executive Chef Yearwood, Sous Chef Jeff and the awesome Mixologist Candace made this such a memorable stay. The Hotel Indigo room was nice but service at the 98 Forty East bar was the highlight of our stay. The drinks, the food and the music was the best! We caught happy hour where all drinks and appetizers were half off. We were impressed by the elevated bar food. We laughed, drank, and sang to all the jams - a time was had. We will stop by here whenever we go through Jacksonville for sure.“

“Aardwolf has a good selection of drinks. Mostly beer, with some seltzers and ciders. I told the bartender what I like and she picked a beer for me that fit my palette. It was a Belgian Whit. Excellent beer, mild and smooth with an earthy bread like flavor. Mouth is watering thinking about it. I am going to try their blue raspberry seltzer next time.

The environment is cozy. It is dimly lit and comfortable inside. It can get a little loud in the tap room when there is a crowed. They have outdoor seating that tends to be a bit quieter. If you get hungry There is a food vendor outside with a small menu. I had a smash burger with fries. Burger was a good size, and had a lot of flavor. Better than I expected for $15 bar food.

They are dog and child friendly. Several people had children with them, some with infants.

The only con I can think of is you can smell the water treatment plant while outside. It isn't overbearing and certainly not Aardwolf's fault. But something to keep in mind if you are sensitive to things like that.“
