Can’t comment on the food as we did not stay to eat. The staff was extremely rude and unfriendly so we decided to eat elsewhere. I did see that there is no table service, you order at the counter. It is no longer The Seafood Grill with the biggest (and best) fish sandwich. The menu is not the same. No more Tupelo margaritas! Such a shame the new owners did not keep the charm and menu options of the original place.
As their old sign notes outside, this USED to be a seafood grill, one of the best in Apalachicola. We craved their great oysters, scallops, and cream pies. Now it's a bar with a few seafood choices on top of a huge menu of bar food. The pizzas they served looked delicious, but we didn't go to a seafood grill for pizza. After visiting there for several years on our way to and from southern Florida, we'll be looking for a new seafood spot in Apalachicola.
We used to love visiting the grill, but after our recent visit we probably won’t be back. We called to be sure they were open, but upon arrival we were turned away because we had kids. Apparently now after 4:30, children are not allowed.
