“Finally! A dairy-free ice cream shop for those of us who are lactose intolerant! The people who work there are very nice and friendly, the ice cream is delicious! Such a wonderful treat!Vegetarian options: They have dairy-free ice cream and it is delicious!“
“Stella was absolutely amazing and helpful for my first of many experiences to follow. She absolutely puts in the effort to show her customer service skills, even including two sample donuts while we waited for our order to be put together. 36 donuts was more than we expected, but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Thank you so much for this great experience. We will be back!!!“
“Like this place much better than the Twistee Treat before it. Got a sundae and it was huge! The kids enjoyed their cookie monster ice cream too even though it was a huge mess of blue to clean up! Just know that a small cup is way too big for a toddler. They have big portions here! Cute atmosphere and nice touch adding corn hole for families to play. A little pricey for some things, but they more than make up for it with quality and serving size! Great addition to the area!“
“I’m not an ice cream aficionado and look at me. My third ice cream review this week. My family eats a lot of ice cream on vacation. This place is kitschy and fun. We went in a down poor so it was busy, a small line out the door. We were in and out in ten minutes. Even with the crowd of less than pleased “rained on our vacation” customers the staff was friendly and patient. The lady in front of me had to try four ice creams, including vanilla bean and chocolate, which don’t seem super exotic and the scooper behind the counter had more patience than my husband lol - and she was staring at a long line of hungry blood sugar seeking travelers!“
“I’ve been to Bright Ice several times, and I’ve loved it each and every time! The staff lets you have samples of any flavor of their ice cream. I joke around with my wife, my family, and my friends, that this is the best ice cream shop in the world. In all seriousness, it probably is the best ice cream shop in St Pete.Parking: Parking lot is to the side of the shop.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome. It has a family friendly atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs to climb in order to go from the parking lot to the shop.“
“I absolutely love finding a truly independent locally owned non-tourist trap style restaurant/shop in a tourist area. Everything we ate was super delicious, and the owner was extremely nice. Absolutely worth a stop if you’re in the area.“
“I live in Palm Harbor, but I'm vacationing out here for the week and had to check this place out. I wasn't disappointed. The staff looked young which can be a hit or a miss, but it was defiantly a hit. They were super helpful, nice, and made you want to come back. The place is a blast from the past candy wise and the ice cream is custom and very very good for a decent price. If you love ice cream, candy, or just want a blast from the past then check this place out. Trust me you'll be a repeat customer like I plan to be.“
“This gelato is to die for! Best gelato I have ever tasted hands down! I got a quart of banana splitThe shop is clean and quaint. There are board games for customers to play while you’re there. Real fruit in the smoothies. So delicious and this is definitely our new go-to dessert spot!!! ♥️Vegetarian options: SmoothiesKid-friendliness: Board games, colorful atmosphere, candy and cake pops“
“This is a second location in the area. This location is a bit smaller, but has all the goodies you'll need while on vacation. I only stopped by here once since we were staying nearer to the other location, but we liked the first one so much we had to check this one out as well. So come try this place out and if you like it be sure to check out the other location just north as well. Both will be a great experience. They have great ice cream choices I got the the salt water taffy as well, but they have all kinds of candy from every decade going way back. I love this place. I can't wait to come back for more.“
“We stopped here for ice cream while on vacation and it was fantastic! The scoops were plentiful in a delicious waffle cone! Well worth a stop after a day at the beach, or anytime! We’re back home wishing we had a great ice cream shop like this close to us.“
“This place has some of the most exotic icecream flavors I've seen before! I got the sprinkles and cream flavor and a second scoop with the orange coconut cake! I could BARELY make it to the second scoop because this is real icecream. Super thick, sweet and creamy. I also got a waffle cone with mine which had hints of cinnamon that was delicious. The service was a little slow, the workers there didn't help much or provide recommendations. They allowed samples but only 2. Since the flavors are so unique it would've been nice to try more but there's always next time. Overall, I'll definitely be back. There are cute lights and indoor and outdoor seating making this place the prettiest end to date night.“
“A Lemonade stand in a converted boxcar you ask? Sure! Lol cool, funky concept. They have many options like limeade, sugar free Stevia syrup, and more.Pretzel was just ok, beverages were tasty and refreshing. Enjoyed the throwback background music playing.Shannon, who took my order, was fun, and friendly! Thank you! There's an outdoor seating area facing a bike and pedestrian path. You gotta check this place out! One of many unique, cool, artsy, funky experiences here in Dunedin!“
“Ice cream is one thousand percent the best ice cream I’ve ever had (banana pudding flavor is TO DIE FOR). You can taste the authenticity in every bite. My husband and I love running into the owner Clint during our visits, he’s the nicest guy and really cares about every customer’s experience! One of a kind place for sure“
“The ice cream is delicious and the employees are good. I gave four stars because there’s no system in place to properly serve the next person waiting in line, because there’s no real line. On several occasions, I’ve been waiting in line and had people walk in behind me, and walk right up to the counter and get served. That part is frustrating. But the ice cream itself is fabulous.“
“We came here to grab some lunch and we were so happy with our decision. The location is just off the main road. It is outdoor seating only, with some pretty cool vibes because of the outdoor setup. The service was good, as the gentleman helping us told us it was only his second day, but he still did a great job helping us. We ordered the chicken tenders platter and the crabby pretzel. Both tasted great. I know it's hard to say chicken tenders are great, but I have had a lot of chicken tenders and these were some of the best. The cheese sauce that came with the pretzel really stood out and tasted great as well. We came during a bit of an off time but it definitely seems like it would be a really cool place to hangout during peak times.“
“This was my first time trying Uncle Louie G, but certainly not the last! What a treat! The ice cream is smooth and creamy and tasted so fresh. The banana ice actually tastes like fresh bananas! Can't wait to order from. Here again. Bravo, on a job well done! I have a new favorite!“
“I love this place! So happy to see a family-owned local restaurant. My friends and I love to order from here, especially because of the amount of options there are. The food is always fast, hot, and delicious, every time! Absolutely will continue to eat here and recommend this place to friends and family!“
“I remember coming here in Summer 22 and I loved the atmosphere of this small store, there is a large choice of ice cream flavors. (As a French I came back on this page to see pics of this place, I’m nostalgic ? Here we don’t have that much ice cream flavors and they’re not as fancy!)Kid-friendliness: Lots of choice for kids!“
“They have the best Sugar Cream Ice Cream I've ever had in my life! I'd trade a good date for a gallon of this ice cream. It's that good! I'm from Ohio and make sure to visit several times when here on vacation.Parking: You pull up right to the shop in a strip mall“
“So many flavors, so good! They were open late and I just happend to stumble upon this place and it was soo good! I just got ice cream and the scoops were huge for cheap and so tasty. I recommend the dirty banana one. They also had a lot of smoothies and protein shake options. The employee was really funny and engaging with my friend and I.“
“I have been wanting to go to one of these places ever since my favorite bingsu place closed down in Tampa after Covid. It's really hard to find this type of shaved ice. The texture is just right. Soft, melts in your mouth. The flavor is subtle and not overly sweet and the toppings aren't overwhelming but compliment the shaved ice well. I got the halo-halo which is very reminiscent of the dessert and Mexican candy which was spicy, sour, and tangy. Both different flavor profiles, probably on the opposite spectrum, but both very delicious! I'm looking forward to the one opening close to Brandon in Bloomingdale really soon! The inside was also very nice with penguin motifs.“
“Always love local and homemade ice cream. We were in town for spring training baseball and joined some friends who live locally for dinner in the area. Afterwards they took us here as it’s their favorite ice cream shop. We tried some of their flavors and agree it’s good stuff. I had The Boss which is a vanilla base with brownies and peanut butter and my wife had pistachio. Lots of other interesting flavors. Definitely recommend!!“
“Good for special occasions! I love the giant cookie concept, overall. I don't necessarily care for the price. For me, the cookie is almost too cake-like. They aren't crunchy, but aren't gooey either. If someone bought me one I would eat it again, but I don't anticipate buying more for myself.“
“I have finally gotten my diet cleaned up by taking out almost all sugar. Which is healthy, but sad. Not anymore! This ice cream is very low in calories and carbs, but who cares unless it's also delicious? Which it totally is. I had a small bowl of the blueberry cheesecake, which is actually a very ample serving, and it was so good. And it was completely satisfying. No need to have any other treats or snacks the rest of the day. Definitely recommend.“
“Was on my honeymoon first weekend/week of March in Madeira Beach and was SO EXCITED to see that there was a Kilwins within walking distance of our condo we were staying at. I have been enjoying Superman ice cream since I was a kid and I'm 36. It tastes like nostalgia to me! I told the wonderful human (sorry I didn't get their name - they said their parents were the owner) at the counter how much enjoying this simple treat on my honeymoon meant to me and they said that today, my new husband and my cones would be their treat today! I would gladly give money for Kilwins ice cream as it is always tasty, but this "small" gesture went a long way with these newlyweds! We will be back next time we are in Madeira Beach!“
“THE BEST PULLED PORK SANDWICH OF MY LIFE!! I would rate 7/5 stats if I could. Seriously go here and get the sandwiches because they are the best. I was on vacation with my friends and we stumbled across Bay 1 and it has forever changed my life. I have not had a better pulled pork sandwich, and i've searched for one that can compare, but no one can sadly. Every time I order a pulled pork sandwich, I am hoping to get that amount of delicious in my mouth as I do with Bay 1, however, I'm ultimately disappointed. My friends got some of the other sandwiches and they LOVED THEM! I stayed true to the pulled pork because I honestly don't think anything would compare but they loved their sandwich just as much. Since discovering Bay 1, for the rest of the trip, it was all we could think about. To this day I still think about it. I'm counting down the days til I can visit the area just so I can have this sandwich. We would go for days in a row and enjoy it every. single. time. I don't think the wait was too bad, but it doesn't matter cause you know you're getting the best sandwich in town. Seriously. I would rather eat a Bay 1 pulled pork sandwich before eating at a nice restaurant. I was never a pulled pork kind of girl, I would eat it but not want it a lot you know. Bay 1 converted me. I literally crave a pulled pork sandwich now like every week. TIP: If you are looking for a little extra sauce, go to the restaurant next door and ask for a little cup of bbq sauce. Pour some of it in the sandwich and then also dip it. Chefs kiss!“
“Such a great experience with Cassandra! She was kind, attentive & courteous! She gave wonderful customer service :) We tried going to the twistee treat off of east bay and they were closed for some reason but I’m glad we got to come here instead because she made it worth it. We’ll be back a lot this spring and summer to this location.“
“The very BEST ice cream in Clearwater by far! The staff is so sweet and accommodating. We were here for 8 days and had 8 days of ice cream. lol The triple peanut butter is AMAZING! After trying it the first time it was pulled out of the case and replaced with chocolate peanut butter. I was clearly disappointed that it wasn’t in the case and I asked if they were going to carry it anymore and a very nice gentleman that works there went out of his way to go to the back and pulled it out for me! Of course, that meant I had to have two scoops instead of one for his effort, and he was kind enough to pull it out the next 2 nights as well. So the ice cream was wonderful, and the atmosphere is adorable, and the staff is impeccable!“
“El Glaciar offers superior ice cream flavors & varieties of water flavors. I have been going to this ice cream shop for years. What I like about this ice cream shop that they offer unique flavors like Mazapan de la rosa or Ferrero Rocher. They only accept cash or Zelle.Dietary restrictions: They offer water flavor of ice cream ?“
“We walked over to get ice cream at Lu Lu’s this afternoon, but the place looked closed; but Lu Lu just happened to be in her car getting ready to leave when she saw us and got out and let us in and served us anyway! What an awesome person she was…so friendly and inviting. The homemade ice cream was delicious…we had carrot cake and black raspberry!! (So yummy!)“
“My son and I love to stop by Rita’s for the delicious ice and ice cream. He has dropped his ice cream cone a few times and the employees always replace it with no problem. The Manager, Gina, goes above and beyond. She asks about our day, is always very sweet and helpful and even gave my son a little stuffed Ice Guy.“
“Good GRIEF, why is this place here?!?! I'm SO glad I don't have a location near me. The staff here was AMAZING. I placed my order, and they were SO QUICK to make my cookies. I was LITERALLY in and out in less than 15 mins! It took me longer than that to figure out which cookies I wanted!! Lol!!! I absolutely LOVE the cookies here! They are HUGE cookies big enough to share (but I'm not). The flavor and texture of the cookie is SO good. If you've never had one, ya need to. They are FABULOUS!“
“I am practically an ice cream addict. Unfortunately for my waist line....but this was the best I have ever had. Let me say it again - best ever ! And the servings were amazing. 2 scoops on a cone caused commotion on the patio. Go and enjoy!!“
“Excellent taffy with a wide variety of flavors. I had an excellent experience at both this Zeno’s and the one in Daytona Beach.Rachel, the candy clerk, was very kind and patient in helping our family of nine as we picked flavors. She even helped us to estimate and weigh our purchase, so that we knew how much was four pounds of candy. Rachel, the taffy, and the store were all wonderful for us. Thank you and see you next time we’re in town!“
“I ❤ Andy's Frozen Custard! I'm from Springfield MO where Andy's originated from. I'm so glad I can now get this amazing Custard in Florida! The Ozark Turtle Sundae is unbelievable with creamy caramel, smooth hot fudge, and crunchy roasted pecans! Andy's is the BEST!“
“Cute little place with great candy and ice cream. But the key to this operation is the staff .The owner is great and went out of her way to dip strawberries for me , when I called the last minute . Enjoy going there whenever I get a chance.“
“We love this place! Have you had rolled ice cream?? This is so deliciously perfect! You can get any kind of candy, syrup mixed in or on top and the folks here are so so friendly! Molly is great! You must stop here for a treat to have during the sunset on the beach across the street!“
“My kids and I stopped by this place for some ice cream. It’s a nice little place with friendly and professional staff. The kids and I got some vanilla ice cream with Oreos or pecans. I have to say it was great. Even better that it was no sugar/carbs, that was a big plus for me. Highly recommend!“
“Very fresh and definitely homemade. Nice and flavorful and sweet but not too much sugar or sweetness. Good quality. Highly recommend. This is way better than the American junk that we call ice cream and fruit bars. They also have fresh juices. The staff are really kind and the service is great“
“ADDENDUM REVIEW 2-20-24The reviews below (12-8-19, 12-20-19) were for the former restaurant called SconeAge, NOT LaVita. They bought the store and improved on the food and service. My experience here at LaVita has been very good. It's a family affair with moms and their kids helping in the kitchen and serving customers. Always polite and accommodating. The food is made on premise unlike other coffee shops where it's brought in from outside. They bake next door and cook in the back kitchen. The most complete bakery by experienced bakers in Dunedin. Try LaVita, you won't be disappointed.-------------Review below is of SconeAge, NOT LaVita:12-20-19 FOLLOW UP. If you read the owner/chef's comments about my review, it's obvious she didn't read it carefully enough. You LOST a third star due to your unreasonable attitude."Fledgling" referred to the first, somewhat disorganized event which is fine as a first attempt. However, if the fifth attempt is awkward then some additional planning or revamping might be necessary. The performance area is a tight, over-sized "walk-in closet". Chef, your scones may be delicious but yours/Larry's DISORGANIZATION can be disheartening. Perhaps, on the warmer days, outfitting the BACKYARD as event space might work best, although there wouldn't be any place to park. Perhaps the BBQ place's lot next door might work as an alternative parking lot.As far as Larry's prowess as poet of "international" fame, I've not heard of him or his work before. Is he SELF PUBLISHED? If so, that might explain why. He may need to promote himself and not just events. I guess I've been caught up in teaching the masters like Kooser, Laux, Collins, Williams, Oliver, et. al. So, if I've missed this "famous" poet's work, woe is me!But regardless of your or my definition of what constitutes poetic excellence in terms of Larry's work -- that wasn't my point. It was the PRESENTATION and PROMOTION of the event that was CLUMSY -- not Larry's poetry. For example, most poets I talked to thought the event's readings were relegated to Human Rights ONLY. And that's an important reason why more poets didn't show. Not all poets have poems relative to that subject. Get it, Chef? And finally, "clumsiness" included making all attendees read every one of the long list of Human Rights tenets, about 30 of them! It dragged the event out to the longest "yawn" in open-mic history! Larry should've provided a BRIEF TALK and handout to be read LATER and let his and other's poetry say what needed to be said. Wasn't that why you summoned us there, Chef, -- to listen to the POETRY of Human Rights?---------------------12-8-19 Participated in the first poetry open mic today, Sunday. It's a tiny venue, conducted after hours (3 pm), run by the owner, a poet himself; a very hospitable and gentle Sixties soul. It's an intimate room bursting at the seams with readers and listeners of poetry. The first fledgling attempt was understandably passable, but we can only hope future events will be conducted with more planning, i.e., a PODIUM (please!) would be a welcome addition for readers' comfort. The initial theme was human rights, which was clarified later as not necessarily a reader's maxim; after a phone call for clarification, it was found to be open to any themed poem. I look forward to the next installment in what appears to be a monthly program of "Greenwich-Village" style cafe poetry. And it's not just the Beats in residence here. Ginsberg and Kerouac would be proud of this resurrection of poetry in Dunedin. However limited. However innocent. And, as bakery, there is the scone, tasty and unblemished by unnatural ingredients. Scone Age is the natural bread and sustenance of wheat and words in Dunedin. Long may it live and flourish!“
“I am not a big sweets eater. I rarely eat ice cream, cake or sugar however this ice cream/gelato was worth it. My neighbor/friend took us by Jeremiah's on the way home from a Xmas event for the kids. Everyone said I had to try the ice cream. The sales staff was super nice, offered a sample and I was sold. It tasted like soft serve, homemade ice cream with unique, premium toppings like: sugar cookie, german chocolate cake, peppermint bark and mocha. Whatever you get, it will be good! Huge selection, reasonably priced and delicious.“
“My beautiful daughter sent half dozen, Crumbl Cookies to my home this afternoon. As I open my front door, an amazing young lady handed me a beautiful pink warm box as the aroma coming from the box was intense. The young Doordash delivery lady was so nice and caring , so kind.Well, I could not wait to open this nice warm box that was warm ing my hands.I was Amazed, truly amazed how beautiful, half dozen fresh warm made to order these 6 cookies looked. They were absolutely wonderful, fresh and warm, just like right out of your oven at home. I would absolutelyand Highly recommend Crumbl Cookies right here in Palm Harbor , EastLake (BootRanch)Notice the photo, a bit out of the Chocolate fudge cookieI just could not wait.Bob SwangoPalm Harbor“
“Heidi and Barb were absolutely phenomenal, made great conversation and were very warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Coffee was phenomenal, they warmed up a couple muffins for us, this place is great and these two are wonderful. We will be back everyday this trip.“
“Shoutout to the amazing worker this afternoon at the Clearwater Beach north beach location - purple haze is not on the menu, and I was able to get a great to go container (that have just become available) for my mom. My parents were elated and surprised. I hope Management keeps those to go containers!!!!“
“I got something new from the menu it's called waffelitto (bowl of happiness). It's a waffle cut into small size with lotus butter, chocolate syrup, lotus biscof, m&m's, crashed oreo and Fererro. It's something definitely bring happiness to my heart. It's from uber eat menu but you can go and ask them you wanna a waffelitto or anything else feom their menu and they can do this for you.The owner told me he has like 100 different icecream roll and many items crepe, dessert, milkshake, smoothie, boba te.Definitely i will come back again with my friends.“
“My mom and I come here every Sunday evening. We used to always bring my dog and the 3 of us would get cones every Sunday..Every time, Amaya(sorry if I spelled that wrong) makes it a point to come say “hi” and she always ensures everything is perfect. She even commented the first time we came after my dog died and noticed we were only ordering 2 cones…Her incredibly friendly demeanor and exceptional customer service are something you don’t see that often. You don’t find people in customer service like Amaya every day, and I hope her employers/franchise owners have taken notice..“
“Great neighborhood location for a frozen treat! We have lived walking distance since they opened and it has continued to be a family favorite as well as for our out of town visitors, in-laws and the next generation of kids!Kid-friendliness: This is my two year old grandson ‘s favorite place for a treat!“

“This gelato is delicious and they have a nice assortment of flavors, it’s also reasonably priced. My only issue is with hygiene. The lady who works there is always outside playing with her phone or chatting with friends, when she goes back inside to serve you she neither washes nor sanitizes her hands, grabbing the cones with her bare hands. She told me today the owner hasn’t brought her napkins! And she excused it by saying these days everyone is scared. It’s nothing to do with fear. Food establishments need to follow health and safety guidelines or we would all end up with rotavirus!“
“Stopped for ice cream on the way home from the beach!Dietary restrictions: Lots of flavors to choose from! And they have a book of listed allergens to help you choose if you have food sensitivities.Parking: Ample accessible parkingWheelchair accessibility: All ground level with double doors to enter.“
