Based on the reviews, Cafe di Lorenzo Downtown Mediterranean Restaurant & Event Space is a family owned restaurant with authentic food and people. The owners are very involved with making the experience enjoyable. Chef Lorenzo makes some mean dishes, and his wife Marina works the front with the servers. The red sauce and meat sauce are delicious. The food is very good, and the pizza is so Italian, like a trip to Italy. The restaurant is also a Guinness book of record holder. Specific meals mentioned include chicken parmigiana, cheese lasagna, and eggplant. The chicken parmigiana had a small piece with an odd taste, but the lasagna was much better. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. It is a new place with few staff members but everyone is really nice and professional. It is a great place for a special night out, and a decent dinner option for a local Italian place in Bradenton.
