Finally found a real bagel in FL!!! They are absolutely delicious!
Randomly stopped in today and brought some bagels home. Best bagels this Jersey girl has had since moving to Florida 29 years ago!!
Drove from Punta Gorda to try them out and it did not disappoint. Owner was super friendly as well. Will be back!

Jersey Girl Bagels University is an amazing place with truly hard working and kind staff and a really nice owner. They make great bagel sandwiches with delicious bagels and phenomenal toppings. The Asiago bagel breakfast sandwich with bacon and egg & mayo is probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches ever. It is a must if you are in Sarasota. The bagels are just as good as NY/NJ, and an egg everything is usually super hard to find. The very tight specific menu covers all the bases for basic breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The super cute shop has appropriate and relevant decor. They keep very busy but churn through the line very fast and efficient. Awesome bagels from NY are hard to find, but Jersey Girl bagels are damn close and the best in Sarasota. The beautiful display, friendly smiles, and quick service definitely surpass expectations. The egg everything bagel with sausage egg and cheese is delicious. If looking for a great New York/New Jersey type of bagel, this place is fantastic. Favorite bagels are asagio, everything, and salt, with favorite cream cheeses being regular and veggie.
