I booked a trail ride for myself and my 10-year-old son as a holiday gift, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience! The horses at Black Prong are very well cared for. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable, with one leading and one following to keep everyone safe. We had an amazing meal last night while listening to John Johnson. Meghan was our server and Chef Trevor was on point! Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. Well worth the drive and $$

Based on the reviews, Black Prong Whiskey Bar & Grill is a hidden gem and one of the best meals in a very long time. The service is exceptional, top notch, with high attention to detail. The vibe, service and food are hands down better than anything in Gainesville. The atmosphere is fantastic, think Napa valley wine country restaurant. The food is extraordinary, with menu items like NY strip steak and curry dusted scallops cooked perfectly. The biscuit appetizer is a highlight, and the key lime pie is to die for. The grilled asparagus with burrata appetizer and whipped feta cheese and hot honey on sourdough are also recommended. The hanger steak is tender and perfectly cooked with mind-blowing mashed potatoes. The Margarita flatbread is perfectly crisp and melty, and the duck entrees are melt in your mouth perfection. In house desserts include salted caramel apple cake french toast and rich, creamy gelato. The drinks are excellent, especially the strawberry serrano margarita and strawberry spicy margarita. The service is white glove, with a server named Meghan who is an absolute rock star and super knowledgeable. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic date night or a gathering of friends. Black Prong is becoming an institution, worth a 30-minute drive, and guests will definitely be back.
