“If you're on a cruise and land in Port Canaveral, Orlando, take the Oceanside Distillery and Carib brewery excursion if you can. I'm having the Christmas Tree IPA (infused with spruce tip) and my wife is having the Tamarind Shandy. Carib was founded in Trinidad so she's at home.”

“I was there Saturday and I never go out but the bartender was so incredibly nice she was the best I ever had contact with and everybody there taught me that I should live my life by giving in to making new friends and I don’t usually do that thank u”
“This is a can’t miss establishment! If you are in Cape Canaveral for any reason, plan to stop in! Warm inviting atmosphere, super stellar bartender/mixologist and wait staff, phenomenal cocktail creations and yummy small bites. Allison (mixologist) came to our table to ask specifics on what we like and literally crafted our cocktails to our taste. We even met the owner (Ronny) who came table side to talk to us when he noticed we were visiting from his hometown. Stop in, you won’t regret it!”

“Crackers Island Grille- Cape Canaveral- 3-stars "Flawless execution will trump low-quality ingredients every time." -- The Big Boy "Where will I lunch today?", was my thought as I grabbed my random restaurant generator and headed towards the BBDO mobile. As the name scrawled across my screen, I saw I was heading up the coast to Cracker's Island Grille. Taking my time and enjoying the drive, I had time to reflect a bit on my job. Since I started this over two years ago, BBDO has grown by leaps and bounds topping out at over 14K followers across social media. I am extremely humbled by this and it steels me to continue forward. My GPS told me I had arrived and I found myself in front of a strip mall 1 mile north of the famous Ron Jon's Surf Shop and across from Golf N Gator. I arrived in the BBDO mobile at precisely 11:15 AM and the place was busy. Awaiting my turn, I glanced about the place and was quite taken in by the decor. They have a nice little island/surf theme going and this contributed to a very relaxed atmosphere. After a short wait, I was shown a table, handed a menu and told my server would be right with me. As packed as they were, I wondered what exactly that meant. It wasn't too long before a server approached my table and introduced herself as Brittany. Brittany was very prompt, charming and had our drink order back in no time at all. Along with the drink order, I also requested the Bouillabaisse and one order of the special of the day, Gator tacos (wondering if the meat was fresh based on the proximity of Golf N Gator). Brittany assured me this was not the case. I was sure this made the animal rights people happy, however, I was not. I have to say that first of all, Cracker's Bouillabaisse looked better on the menu than it did in front of me (see pictures for comparison). But, the smells wafting up were pure gourmand nirvana. With just the right amount of heat and all the seafood one could want, the flavors were complex, tantalizing and just a tad hot on the palate. The seafood seemed low quality (frozen, not fresh), but the execution was performed well. The accompanying bread was warm and slathered in garlic butter that added a nice compliment to the seafood stew. Dying to try something I never have before, I eagerly dug into the Gator tacos next. Wow. That is my professional opinion of these delightful tacos. Just, wow. Served on warm flour tortillas with fresh-cut tomatoes and cooked to perfection they were absolutely as delicious as they were unique. The meat was tender, juicy and extremely flavorful. The seasoning really got my taste buds dancing and there was just enough heat to make sure they were not only awake but stayed that way for the duration. The Gator tacos alone were worth the drive up the coast. Not that one needs an excuse for that. As I am sure my loyal readers know, I firmly believe that the only thing that matters in regards to a successful slop house and one that fails is execution, not location, not parking, not service, not interior design (though those all certainly help). If the food is good, as I've said before, you could open a food shack in the middle of the Okefenokee Swamp and people would flock to it. Make no mistake about it, Cracker's is not a fine dining establishment, they use low-quality ingredients, but man oh man you can tell the chef/cook cares about what is slung forth from his kitchen. The execution of all the items I had was done flawlessly, and everything was delicious, especially the Gator Tacos, those were unreal, proving once again what I've said ad nauseum, execution, execution, execution! The Big Boy says, "when in the area and in the mood for some cheap eats and seafood, head on over to Cracker's Island Grille, you won't be disappointed!" #iamthebigboy #bigboydiningout”

“When we travel, we always try to find local places to eat. During our drive getting familiar with the area we stumbled upon the perfect place, Zarrella’s. We ate here twice during our stay in Melbourne and both times they did not disappoint! The first visit we had house salad and pizza…spot on and the atmosphere perfect! - I’m pretty sure this is the first place I’ve been that had almost the entire place singing Sweet Caroline 🥰 - The pizza, salad, and atmosphere took us back for a second time. I stepped out of the box and went with the Mahi Mahi special and my BF had a house salad and pizza…again…perfect!! Now we’re back in our hometown in OH wishing we had a Zarrella’s to visit.”

“Went here as a quick option after a long flight and getting to our hotel early. We didn't want to Uber to another restaurant. Happily satisfied with the service and food. We had trie meat pizza, burger and chicken bacon wrap. They had a special for $25, app/entree/dessert. The key lime pie is so good!
Server was kind and food came quick.
Restaurant has televisions all around the bar, booth and table seating.
Great for a quick bite.”
“There are three good lunch special options at reasonable prices. They have authentic Peruvian drinks including juice, cola and beer. The service was attentive though the starter came out after the main course. It was also listed twice on the bill but they took it off quickly without issue. The atmosphere is not exactly cozy and was somewhat loud with the front door open to the busy street and the radio playing loud commercials so that could be improved. If you go for the food, you won't go wrong. There are definitely other menu items I look forward to trying.”

“Cafe Monte Carlo- Cape Canaveral- 3.75-Stars "Don't judge a book by its cover" -- G, Elliot In pursuing my goal of reviewing every eating establishment on the Space Coast, I have learned a lot about our lovely state of Florida. For example, not knowing how to drive and/or park is not limited to out of state plates, Publix stores anchor a multitude of strip malls, and Florida is chock-full of dingy, seemingly run down and forgotten by the tides of time, strip malls. These little guys are hanging on for dear life all up and down the coastal roadways. Sometimes, they hide a pearl worthy of dive by an Ama (Japanese pearl divers) and while I didn't know it at the time, that was going to be the case here. The new paint job the building was boasting could not hide the fact that it was at least 20 years old and in dire need of modernization. Looking around as I entered and approached the counter I couldn't help but notice the inside wasn't all that much better. While it was clean and orderly, it also was begging to enter the 21st Century. Apprehensions based on looks set aside I boldly placed an order with our Server, Andrew, for a Croque sandwich on a croissant, biscuits and gravy, one Monte's grilled 3 cheese on white bread and a cup of their Cuban espresso. The thing I love about an open kitchen such as the one you will find inside Cafe Monte Carlo is that well, it's an open kitchen. If it's dirty, dingy, and greasy I have found that often so is the slop slung forth, This kitchen sparkled with cleanliness and care. Watching the cook grill our sandwiches made me think that they might not be so bad after all. Andrew soon returned with our food and it was time to go to work! The Croque sandwich can come in a few different ways and I ordered mine with ham on the aforementioned grilled croissant. The ham was not fake processed meat stuff, but the real honest to Jimmy Dean deal. It was sliced deli thin, piled high on a bakery fresh croissant and then topped with an egg cooked to a perfect medium. The whole thing was then topped with some of the best tasting and most unique bèchamel sauce I have yet had. Made with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a dab of mustard really made it stand out and brought the sandwich to a completely different level of gastronomical heights. The biscuits and gravy reminded me of the building I was in by their mere appearance. They did not look very appetizing, but I had a job to do. With one bite I knew I was in the South. These were not your plug and play, frozen, preformed biscuits, no Ma'am! These were the real McCoy handmade biscuits fresh out of the oven and they were delicious. Slathered atop these icons of biscuits was some of the best sausage gravy I have yet had. The sausage was fresh, complex in taste and cooked correctly, while the gravy was obviously made by my great grandmother as there is no other explanation as to how incredibly flavorful it was (please return her, she is missed!). Next up on my to-do list was the Monte's grilled 3 cheese on white. With a gooey interior of a melted mass of Swiss, Cheddar and Provolone cheese the sandwich would have been gold as is, however, add to that bacon and a vine fresh tomato onion chutney and you have sandwich platinum, baby! Oh, sorry, I got caught up on the inside with ya know bacon, the freshly baked white bread was grilled to a perfect crunchy hue and added a nice base for the baco...I mean grilled 3 cheese. With a menu boasting 11 types of java, it would seem that they are attempting to put the coffee back in cafè and they do an excellent job at that. My Cuban espresso was not only aesthetically pleasing but done properly with the correct amount of boldness one expects from Cuban coffee. It was a perfect ending to a rather enjoyable and surprisingly delicious meal. The Big Boy says, "For a unique and tasty take on a grilled cheese, an excellent cup of Joe and more, overlook the outside setting and hit this place up!" #iamthebigboy #bigboydiningout”

“We always enjoy our time at Seafood Atlantic when in the area. The ambiance sitting at the waterfront deck is so peaceful, enjoying the dolphins and pelicans. Our go-to meal is the crab boil for two, which includes snow crab, red shrimp, hardshell clams, PEI mussels, corn, and taters. It really gives you a nice sampling of what the menu offers. Everything is steamed to perfection and then marinated in fantastically seasoned butter sauce. A side order of chowder is what I get (perfection), but the Ceasar salad is quite tasty as well. This time, we also enjoyed the mini crab cake appetizer - mmmm. Service is always friendly, knowledgeable, and speedy. You won't regret enjoying a meal at Seafood Atlantic!”
