New American Restaurants near Cape Coral, FL

“My husband and I came here last night and we had a great time. Hannah was an absolute gem, she happily answered all our questions and recommended good choices off the menu. We had the Hogfather sandwich on sourdough with fries, the chicken tenders tossed with the cilantro, corn, cojita cheese and other spices (they were huge) and we tried the gouda mac and cheese. We weren't too impressed with the mac and cheese but it was good, and the rest of the food was fantastic. My husband also loved their old fashioned.

They had a cover singer was wonderful as well.

We will definitely return if we head back to Ft. Meyers.“

“Nice place. Our waitress was very attentive, kept our ice tea full and remembered to keep plenty of Splena on the table. I ordered the Seafood Cobb Salad. I am a Cobb Salad fan and order one where ever I go. This one was huge and I mean a 12” plate piled on. All of the individual components were plentiful 5 grilled shrimp on top, tons of cherry tomatoes, a half a pig of bacon, bleu cheese, onions, and the rest were stacked high. Only thing that would have made it better would be chopped greens. I had to get a “kitty bag” for later. Desert was their Banana Bread Pudding with toasted bananas. Again huge could have shared it with 3. Wife ordered Crème Brûlée which she wouldn’t share. Only bump was wife’s entre, Dolphin fish came out topped with tomatoes which she is deathly allergic (not mentioned on the menu) but not to worry, they made her another lickety split. Two entrées, appetizer, ice tea, desert and nice tip came to just under $100 about average for a decent Cape Coral restaurant. Big smiles on this one.????“

“Mel’s Diner Cape Corral 3-4-25 Stopped by Mel’s on Monday around 12:30pm. This place was clean, neat, and busy. We got seated right away and Dee Dee was our waitress. I ordered the Western Black Angus Chopped Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Corn. My wife and our friend ordered the Mel’s Classic Cheeseburger with Cheese, Lettice, Tomato, Onions, Coleslaw, and Fries. Once our order came out my Chopped Steak was amazing. The Chopped Steak had Onions piled high on the top and lots of Gravy, it was so good. My wife and our friends Burger were done perfectly, and the Fries were just yummy and even the Coleslaw was good. All our food was hot and plenty of it as we had to get a to go box to take some home. Once done we ordered two Milkshakes, one Chocolate and one Strawberry. They were very good if you like old fashion Milkshakes get yourself one for sure. “Went to this little gem twice in two days. After having the most delicious pumpkin ravioli and side salad. Other diners enjoyed soups, salads, mahi tacos, truffle fries and Mediterranean wrap. Everyone encountered here was friendly and helpful with guiding us with our orders. They have a decent beer and wine selection for a small place (if that’s a priority) to accompany your meal. We will definitely put this on our must visit list each trip to the Ft Myers area.“

“My husband and I came in for a fresh seafood dinner and this restaurant did not disappoint. Our waiter, Justin, was incredible from start to finish. His extensive knowledge of the menu offerings coupled with his exuberance had us smiling and laughing like we were speaking with an old friend. We decided to create our own tasting of sorts from the fine selections of fresh seafood. Our meal included the NOLA Oysters which were baked and served with seasoned butter, the crab cake appetizer which was serving of lump crab held together by a crispy sear and no filler, as well as the chilled seafood tower. Every bite from start to finish was delectable. We had crab, lobster, tuna tartar, shrimp and oysters. Each bite was more spectacular than the previous as we sampled each offering. We have already decided the next time we are in town that this restaurant will be a must! 5 Stars out of 5!!“

“The food is great as usual. We've come to lunch or brunch here a few times. Large portions. The quiche never fails us. I like how crunchy their house made potato chips are, although sometimes they taste slightly over done. It's still a hot outside, but their patio seating is a nice environment. I've never sat inside so I can't comment on that. With that said, service can be courteous but seem curt.“

“Ok. If I were driving by, which I was would have totally wrote this place off. My brother told me about it and I stopped in when I was next in town. Great atmosphere, great staff, and an owner who really cares about quality of food and service. Prices more than reasonable with healthy serving (Mahi Mahi fish sticks) and live music and plenty of sports.

Great mix of locals and tourists. Nothing fancy but great place to chill and unwind and enjoy great food, atmosphere, and drinks.

“Stopped in for breakfast at Fallow Street Grill and it was absolutely fantastic. The food had that home-style flavor that’s getting harder to find these days — it honestly reminded me of the late 90s in the best way possible.

The service was quick, friendly, and genuine. You can tell the staff actually care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The atmosphere had great energy — warm, relaxed, good vibes.

“Another one of those little Gems. Found it this week. Needed a nice place for our 4th Anniversary Dinner:
Called and made a reservation[Recommended] and we arrived at 17:30.was greeted and served Bread. The bread alone was exceptional.
I ordered the Rack of Lamb, my wife had the Pork Chop.
I must say, outside my own Kitchen, this was “The Best” Lamb I have ever had! Succulent, Tender, and cooked perfectly. The Pork Chop was also very good, probably the Tenderest I’ve ever tasted.
The servers here are what you would expect at a Four Star Restaurant.

“Wow! Had never been until last night, although we frequently visit Sanibel. Can’t say enough about the quality of the food. My new all time favorite. A salad with tomatoes, watermelon, mozzarella, roasted pumpkin seed and a great dressing. Smoked tenderloin was a unique and fantastic dish.“

Housed in a beautifully remodeled turn-of-the-century home, the restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly compliments the dining experience. We ordered lasagna, spaghetti with meatballs, scallops with risotto, Caprese salad, warm bread, cheesecake, and homemade Key lime pie. The lasagna was, as always, delicious and served in a generous portion. The spaghetti came with impressively large meatballs—definitely enough to share—and was packed with flavor. The scallops were cooked to perfection, and the risotto was wonderfully creamy. The cheesecake however lacked flavor, but the homemade key lime pie was amazing! It was a fantastic meal in a charming setting—truly a wonderful evening!“

I grabbed a couple of my cake tiers..and went to see what she held for me... they were very delicious cupcakes! “Last night, we ended up getting stuck in the storm coming back from the Sanibel causeway. Seeking shelter, we decided to dock next to this place. Soaking wet, asked if we could sit outside and order. I believe it was Sydney that was our waitress. (Had an English accent if that helps) Service was absolutely amazing.
