“I was visiting from North Carolina for the holidays and me and the family decided to stop by Cantina Captiva for lunch. I don’t normally write reviews on my restaurant experiences but I just wanted to point out how excellent the food and service was! Especially our server Jeffery who was so friendly and professional! The restaurant was pretty busy ( as to be expected during the holiday season) but Jeffery did an amazing job handling the chaos while still being attentive to our needs. I worked in the hospitality industry for over a decade so that level of professionalism and friendliness while also multitasking is an incredible skill that I very much respect and appreciate. I believe when people go above and beyond they should be recognized for it. So big shout out to Jeffery as well as the rest of the staff! And thanks for recommending the fish tacos, they were amazing!”

“Emma, Tatyana, Circe, Lisa, and Yury have been awesome! They have been so welcoming, friendly, and helpful from our first visit! I'm usually cranky before coffee, but it is impossible not to smile with them. There is inside and shaded outside seating. Highly recommend!”

“Arrived 30 min before our reservation & they seated us right away! 4 adults, 2 kids - everyone ordered something different & all were delish. The grouper Reuben & rib grilled cheese sandwiches were BIG! Meatloaf tasty & margarita pizza very good. Recommend the key lime martini!”

“I was disappointed that the hostess and server where unaware and did not care about the information provided through open table when I made my reservation. I was offered the choice of inside or outside. I selected outside and when I arrived she tried to sit us inside. She then acted like it was a chore to set us up outside. There is also an option to select a special occasion. I selected birthday. There was not a mention of my birthday. Just sad and disappointing when you are asked and there is no acknowledgement. I also don't understand why the server packed up the appetizer and then just set boxes in the table for entrees. It was uncomfortable. My mother is 80. I'm not telling her she can't take her leftovers. So I boxed them up. We love Tween and have been celebrating my birthday there for 7 years (- the hurricane interruptions). The people and service has always been great. I just feel there is a disconnect with this app. Or something”

“A nice location that I visited while visiting the gulf coast. Food was decent, drinks were cold, and overall a pleasurable experience. Visited by boat and had plenty of dock space. Walked up to bar area where we ordered drinks and started tab and walked up to a table to sit for lunch. While we got out food, ended up walking up to bar for another drink. While this part falls on me, did not pay close attention to the bill and realized they tagged on a service fee, which was essentially the tip. I generously tipped on the total balance, not realizing tip was included. Once back at home, attempted to contact the location and never heard back. While it clearly falls on me, think it is crappy when locations tag on service fees for small groups. Mix in a few cocktails, and pretty sure I'm not the only person who fell for this. Don't mind paying island pricing, however the added service charge is annoying especially when you are pretty much expected to walk up to bar and order your drinks. guess the servers had a good tip day. would probably go back, but would be more attentive to the tip surcharge.”

“The Snapper Rockefeller was delicate and delicious as well as the asparagus. The Cesar salad could have used a little more flavoring. My husband had the filet w/ garlic mashed potatoes, carrots and asparagus, all was delicious as well. Topped it with my favorite, cream brûlée, yum, yum!!”

“My husband and I just enjoyed dinner there this past Saturday and my goodness!!!.. we were not only blown away by the food, wine and dessert; but the service Kelci provided! The Mullett 3 ways appetizer was incredible. The coconut encrusted mahi with pina colada rice (and don’t even get me started on the crispy scallions!) was DEVINE. To finish off with the PERFECT key lime pie was just…well, perfect! We love Blue Dog, can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to go back and truly ask for Kelci; so on it, so sweet, no rushing, helpful etc. everything positive!”

“Panko fried shrimp Very good! Cooked to perfection. Coleslaw flavorful! Margarita flat bread *amazing. For an appetizer, it was flavorful, colorful, and filling. Chicken tenders *crunchy, juicy, filling. For an appetizer it was enough to fill me for lunch. Mary was our server and she did a fantastic job. Mom and I had Doc's for lunch and have leftovers to enjoy for later and will be back again!”

“We are on a girls weekend trip, we came across Pinocchio's Original Italian Ice Cream on our first night and it was so delicious that we had to go back on our second night. Our dinner plans ran over and we pulled in to Pinocchio's at 9:02pm. We were greeted by the sweetest employees Maddy & Talon. They let the five of us in and served us with a smile! We were in and out in less than 5 or so minutes. They made our night!! We made sure to tip well! We likely will go back for our third and final night on the island!”

“Everything is made fresh with authentic flavors and is absolutely delicious! Don’t even get me started on the Torta because I won’t stop. I have tried both the chicken and the pork and they are amazing. The pork is just outstanding though. Stop by and try them. You will not be sorry you did.”

“Our beach wedding was torrential downpour rained out 😭. Robin to the rescue! She pulled it all together and we were able to gather everyone and do our vows in the loft where our reception was scheduled to be!!! It was perfect and the food and service was amazing! “South Side native here. On top of the great service and warm welcomes, Big Herm's has the only legit garden-style Chicago dog in the Cape. The garden dog includes cucumbers. The pizza is amazing too—perfect tavern-style crust, Greco sausage, and the cheese is just right. I highly recommend them if you’re in SW or NW Cape or out on the islands.”
