“Ponte does not disappoint! I took my husband there last night for his birthday and from start to finish, it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is elegant and modern but not ostentatious or garish. The food and drinks were creative, expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and unbelievably delicious. And I cannot say enough about the staff. From Samantha, the hostess; Tyler, the manager; Bill, our server; and Matt, the sous chef; to the young man serving the bread and the multiple other staff who kept our water glasses full, everyone was professional, pleasant, knowledgeable and engaging. Samantha, in particular, handled a very aggressive and arrogant disgruntled man in the most diplomatic and professional manner. And this man was so aggressive that my husband and I almost intervened on Samantha’s behalf. But her diplomacy and professionalism did not waiver. To say she impressed us is an understatement. All in all, this was by far one of the best, if not the best restaurant experiences we have ever had. We will definitely return.“

I was a little disappointed with the lack of vegan options when there has been a lot of care to include many vegetarian options. There is only one vegan entree, and no vegan appetizers or dessert. “The Tampa outlet of this high end chain of seafood oriented deluxe cuisine is the perfect place for a special event or business meal. You're welcomed at the check-in desk as an old friend or family member. The tables are far enough apart to allow for quiet discussion. East Coast and West Coast oysters are served perfectly chilled with plenty of brine to keep them moist on a bed of ice. The onion soup is hardy and tasty. Paragraph entrees from a humble grilled grouper sandwich done absolutely perfectly to high-end sushi to perfectly grilled fish all is at the best standards. We did not sample desserts but they looked outstanding on other tables. Just be prepared with some oxygen when you get the bill. Without alcohol, lunch could easily hit $75 per person and dinner even more. Highly recommended for that special occasion or business dinner but a little rich for a family dinner.“

“First time visiting here for a bridal shower and it was absolutely gorgeous! The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a unique vibe. We had a bridal shower brunch and they accommodated our party easily. The table was decorated so cute, along with custom “she said yes” menus that each guest got to order from! I had the French toast for brunch and it was a delicious, although a little sweet for my taste (I’m team savory for brunch always). Drinks were good, along with their craft sodas which were delicious! Would definitely recommend in the future and will be back for other meals!“

“By far the best service , food and fun. We had Luke and he was kind and great at his job even recommended futures foods for us to try. We had the Cuban and buffalo chicken flatbread both far exceeded our expectations. Living in tampa, Cubans are often hit or miss and this was in our top 3 the prices makes it top 2. “This place holds a special place in my heart. We have celebrated so many milestones at this restaurant (last night we were celebrating my sister) and the food and attention did not disappoint. We don’t drink and it seems it’s usually judged a bit but our server was so lovely about it, didn’t try to sell things we would not go for. We did end up ordering some of his recommendations. The one dish we keep on repeat when we go is the Spanish Octopus, it is absolutely outstanding, the octopus is tender and flavorful. Last night we added the Mushroom truffle pizza, Chicken Marsala, and Scottish salmon. Every single dish was so deliciously perfect. Lastly, desert we had Mango gelato. I am sorry I do not remember the name of our server so I can sing more praises to him because it was a truly lovely mother, daughter’s evening and he was on point, allowing us to enjoy our time together..The only note I have which I almost don’t want to mention but my mom was a little bothered by the music last night. We thought the indoor music was a little loud.Parking: Not many free parking options, but there are plenty of parking lots around $10 on a Friday night with no special events.Wheelchair accessibility: I am not a wheelchair user, but the restaurant is mostly flat, making it easy to access. “I was visiting from out of town. The food was very good. The process is very much like chipoltle but with a healthier farm to table version of food. I thought it was going to be a sit-down restaurant. I was told the steak was a great option to go with along with the mac and cheese.. It did not disappoint. I got a mixture of rice and greens with the sweet potatoes. When thinking about this does not sound like the best combination. However, when you add the garlic aoili sauce, it is perfect. I like to mix my food up. I would definitely try another option should i visit tampa again.“

“Even though Ellies has great food, great servers and othe help except Pam who was a different story the first time she was our server. She was pretty miserable and I noticed the busers were doing pretty much all of her work. She just took our order. Busers brought menus, silverware, drinks and even did our refills. One of the other servers on the floor brought us our food. We chalked it up to she was having a bad day and even though I wanted to tip the busers, we did tip Pam! Today we got her again and from what we could tell, nothing had changed! Our opinion, if you don't enjoy working with the public, hit the road before you start causing Ellies to lose customers. We will try again, but if we see her coming to us, we will ask for a different server. No one deserves to be treated rudely!!!! In email I was told it wasn't a problem and I was assured again by Sam when I was seated that it wouldn't be an issue.The very first course was an oyster amuse-bouche that I couldn't eat, and they didn't offer me any kind of alternative. I just had one less course than the rest of my party which was a very disappointing start to a meal that we spent nearly $1000 on. I would have also accepted an accomodation like a discount or a drink but they didn't offer anything like that. I want to be fair here that there is also a hamachi crudo dish on the tasting menu that they did offer me a delicious deviled egg alternative which was absolutely fantastic, so I didn't go completely unaccomodated, but it was still frustrating to have let them know weeks in advance, and confirmed at the door, and still been excluded from a course.“

Always nervous when ordering salmon because it gets overcooked so easily but this was by far the best piece I’ve had in a while when dining out! They also had live music!“

I would recommend both dining in and catering. The portions are large and the food is well-seasoned. Breakfast can be bland but Another Broken Egg Cafe does it better than most. Great place!Kid-friendliness: There is indoor and outdoor seating depending on how rowdy the kids are, or if you prefer ample room around your table.Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicap parking directly across from the front doors and a ramp from the parking lot to the doors is wheelchair accessible. The restaurant itself has no steps, but the tables are extremely close and aisles would not fit a wheelchair without prior notice. Even walking, I had to turn sideways to squeeze through the dining room to the restroom.“

We had to ask for a larger plate because there was not enough room on the very small plate the baked potato came. The food is very hot- somewhere to put the mushroom on to cool off would be nice. “Hands down, the best bagels I've had in Florida. People always joke about how New York has the best bagels. I don't know what they're joking about, because it's a scientific fact. Since moving to Florida, it's been a struggle trying to find a decent bagel. There are some bagel shops that give it a good effort, but usually you're relegated to offerings of fast food establishments (no thank you), but not anymore. New York Bagel shines like a soft, doughy beacon amongst a sea of mediocrity. The bagels are perfect, the staff is super polite and friendly, and they even offer a BECSPK, which is the holy grail of breakfast sandwiches. If you're ever in the area, you should get a bagel from here. If you aren't in the area, make the trip.“

I ate at a very well known, high end Steakhouse in Tampa recently & waited months to get a reservation. The steak I had there did not even come close to my steak at Brix 33!
