“Aqua Lounge is hands down one of the best hookah spots I’ve been to in Cocoa. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by the beautiful décor ,classy, modern, and perfect for a chill night out or celebrating with friends. The vibe is on point with mood lighting and plush seating that makes you want to stay all night.
The entertainment is what really sets this place apart. Whether it’s live DJs, themed nights, or special events, there’s always something going on to keep the energy flowing. The music selection is always fire, a great mix that keeps the crowd moving but still lets you relax and vibe with your hookah.
Speaking of hookah, the flavors are top-tier, smooth, and always fresh. The staff is super friendly and attentive, making sure your coals stay hot and your experience is 10/10.
If you’re in the Cocoa area and looking for a lounge with great atmosphere, music, and service, Aqua Lounge is the spot. Highly recommend ✨“

“Cajun Soul Bistro & Bar 333 King Street Cocoa, FL 32922 5 Star ***New Brevard County Number 1*** When Lady Luck smiles upon you, your life is bright and shiny. Well, I have to say she was beaming at me on Sunday. Cajun Soul Bistro & Bar came up in my random name generator, which happens to be Soul Food Sunday here. Let's just say we've got a new number 1 in the county. This place has been open for about a year and a half, according to my EIC. I had him call to get their back story. While neither Kenya nor Lance were on site, he did speak with Mika. Mika said she had been with Kenya forever, going back to the food truck days. They still have a food truck and use it to cater events and such. Kenya, from Georgia, brings the Soul and Flavor to the menu, while Lance, from Louisiana, adds the Cajun and Heat. Only in America! In the words of Yakov Smirnoff, “What a country!” Manny was my waiter today and he was adequate. He performed his duty with professionalism and slightly above average competency. I asked Manny for some Buttermilk Fried Chicken, one Chitterlings Dinner, a Meatloaf Dinner and some Banana Pudding to round out my incursion into Cajun Soul Bistro & Bar's menu. The day chef was on top of his game as not only was our food out in no time, but take a peep at those pics! The food was plated with care, made with love and served with a goodly portion. Not what it would have been 5 years ago, but bigger than your average “shrinkflation” serving you get these days. I eagerly wrapped my mits around a piece of fried fowl and ripped off a nice-sized chunk. The chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful, while the batter was obviously applied by hand and just as succulent as the meat. How did they do this? The chicken is marinated in a Buttermilk brine. Yes, you read that right. A Buttermilk brine. Day-um, Kenya! Brilliant!! My chosen sides of Mac & Cheese, Corn bread and Butter beans were on par with the Chicken. The whole thing was a dance of joy on the palate and I was in Southern Heaven. Forcing myself to move on, I took a cautious taste of the Chitterlings Dinner. I always order this when given the opportunity in a place that serves Soul Food, as it is a disgusting food item and MUST be prepared properly even to be edible, let alone scrumptious. Today, 40 years after my first taste of this Soul Food staple, I found the embodiment of Chitin perfection. Holy Wilbur, Charlotte! I done died and went to Soul Food Heaven. Un. Real. Once again, I had to force myself to move on as I had a job to do and if I didn't stop “sampling” the chitlins I wouldn't have room for the Meatloaf and Nana’ Pudding. Speaking of the Meatloaf, one bite in and I was in love. It was dense in texture and complex in flavor. The side of Cajun Yams were banging. These were also the BEST collard greens I've ever had. The Candied yams were flawless and the Banana Pudding so freakin' addictive I wanted to buy the whole tray and take it home. The Big Boy says, “ When the worst thing you can say about a place is that they have above average (not spectacular) service, you have a grand slam home run and we have a new Brevard County Number One. Go. Go now.”“
“Very friendly people and a great place to hang out and shoot with friends. I was made more than welcome and enjoyed shooting on the excellent tables particularly the great 10ft“

“We stopped in on our trip to Cocoa Beach and were not disappointed. Coming from Wisconsin, we’ve had tons of great beer. Dirty Oar has some of the best beers we’ve ever had! The bartender was so friendly when we stopped in. As a military/law enforcement family, we loved the atmosphere and show of support.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pub Americana, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. I ordered the French Burger, which was absolutely amazing. The combination of caramelized onions and goat cheese created a rich and flavorful profile that I couldn't get enough of.
My wife opted for the Hangover Burger, and she was equally impressed. It featured a fried egg, bacon, and a delightful avocado aioli that elevated the dish to another level. She remarked on how good it was, and I couldn't agree more.
Our friends mentioned that they make all of their burger patties in-house, and if that's true, you can really tell! The meat in both burgers was incredibly tender and flavorful, showcasing the quality of their ingredients.
To top it all off, we enjoyed parmesan fries served with a jalapeño ranch on the side. This unique spin on the classic fries added a delicious twist that complemented our meals perfectly.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at Pub Americana. I will definitely be going back for more!“

“Rec 225- Cocoa, FL- 3.75 Stars "I lurched away from the table after a few hours feeling like Elvis in Vegas - fat, drugged, and completely out of it." ― Anthony Bourdain Getting back into the swing of things post--Covid has been great for the Big Boy and I hope for you as well. Thank you for all the comments, supportive and not so supportive. As you can see, I take each one to heart and answer straightforward. I do not cut corners in my reviews, nor do I apologize for them. Finding myself meandering up the Space Coast, I grabbed my random eatery generator and punched in my location. A few nearby eateries popped up and I found myself near the local star, Cryderman's Barbecue. Curious as to who could hang in the same neighborhood, I ventured into Rec 225. The first impression was one of spic and span clean, like your kitchen when you know guests are coming over. Grabbing a table, our waiter Jo-Jo came over to see how we were doing. It turns out that Jo-Jo is also the owner and not only cares about the customer but obviously takes pride in his business as he was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and just downright awesome. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about Jo-Jo. I placed an order for their eponymous sandwich, the 225, along with one Mac & Cheese grilled cheese and a side order of Bacon and Bleu fries. As for a drink, I went with the vaunted Jarritos Orange (how can you go wrong with this liquid concoction of pure delight?). Waiting eagerly for the foodstuffs to arrive I continued to glance about the place and found the interior charming. Before too long, Jo-Jo came back with my order, placed it upon my table and offering a sincere, "Enjoy your meal," Jo-Jo went off to address other patrons. Looking at the pictures you can see that everything certainly did look scrumptious! Grabbing the self-named sandwich, The Big Boy went to work. Comprised of bacon, Gouda, french fries, and tomato pesto on garlic Texas toast it was a delicious mouthful of exquisite flavor. The combination of the bacon and Gouda was enough to send one's taste buds into a dance of joy, add to that the fresh tomato pesto and the perfectly golden fries and you are entering the taste bud danger zone! Seriously, I thought mine were going to sashay right out of my mouth they were so pleased with the flavors found in this masterpiece of a sandwich. It almost felt like a crime when I set it down and turned my attention to the Mac & Cheese grilled sandwich, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. This was far from the simple grilled cheese we all ate as a kid. This incorporated classic mac&cheese with Gouda served on Texas toast. Grilled in butter to a perfect golden hue, it was thoroughly enjoyable on the palate. What I can say about the fries? They were cooked just right and smothered in bleu cheese and bacon. How could you go wrong? The Big Boy says, "If your not nearby, make an excuse to be nearby and grab some incredible grub!" #iamthebigboy #bigboydiningout“
